Jaguar WEEK, let's talk kitties

Very true SteelerSask and that's why this isn't a trap game. I think the players know the situation and are coming in NOT flat. Each win makes it easier down the road. OUR guys are taking this entire season more serious than I have seen in a long time. I truely think it's the CULTURE within the team. They are an actual team instead of the MEMEMe of the past and CONNER's back story has something to do with that. Here is to another win.

Salute the nation

This is the same team/coach that came in FLAT for a PLAYOFF GAME against this same team. What makes you think they can't come in flat for this one? Hopefully, they won't but you act like it can't happen.

Ereck Flowers to become 4th player to start at LT this year for Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Ereck Flowers, the ninth overall pick in 2015 by the New York Giants who was cut last month, will start at left tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Flowers becomes the fourth player to start at that spot for the Jaguars (3-6) because of injuries. Cam Robinson suffered a torn ACL in Week 2 and his replacement, Josh Wells, injured his groin in Week 5 and was placed on IR.

That forced the Jaguars to move reserve guard Josh Walker to left tackle, where he started the past four games. Walker injured his foot in last week's loss to Indianapolis and the team listed him as doubtful for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh at TIAA Bank Field.

Flowers started 49 of the 52 games in which he played for the Giants from 2015 to 2018 at left tackle, but never played at the high level expected of a top 10 pick. He lost his starting job in Week 3 to Chad Wheeler, who signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2017, and the team cut Flowers on Oct. 9.

The Jaguars signed Flowers on Oct. 12 and he did not play in the team's next three games. He made his Jaguars debut last week, sharing time with Walker during the second and third quarters.

The way they are playing, only NO has a chance of winning.

LAC, NE and NO all have shots at winning. However, this defense is coming together at the right time. Sensebaugh is playing with confidence and has done fine the past several games. That’s what PIT needs is solid; confident outside play. Especially against Brees, Rivers and Brady.

Watt should have a good game. That and their all pro caliber center is out. Bortles will have a tough game this week!

I’m hoping this is the game 13 steps up and becomes a 3rd WR to command attention. I’m expecting the Vance Mack Truck McDonald and the Outlaw to be involved early in the game. That LB corps is also suspect against opposing TE’s.

43 years. So you should know the difference between this team and teams in the past, right?

This current coaching staff gives me more confidence than I've had in years.

How? It's mostly the exact same coaches, especially the significant ones such as HEAD coach and DC.

Butler was doing great last year with Shazier, lost him,and it took 8 games to get this D back on track. They led the league in sacks last year, and are doing the same again this year, except now they are getting turnovers. More 3-4 vs the run, and being #4 in vs the run this year as opposed to being in the 30s last year.

Fichtner is killing it with scheme and personnel, I've mentioned specific instances my articles and podcasts (Switzer, 2/3 TE sets, Ridley, & Samuels. Running out of heavy sets when it works, when it doesn't running out of light sets 11, instituting the RPO and QB sneaks). #2 in passing yards per game, tops in red zone and 3rd down efficiency.

Both are showing they can create a solid game plan. Get their players in position to make plays, and when adversity happens, make the appropriate adjustments to be successful.

Tomlin is making tough personnel decisions, and has this locker room galvanized. They are mentally tough because of the head coach. The Bell saga only affected the fans. Benching Burns was necessary as well. Spelling Conner on a short week, excellent strategy. Though I'm not sure what he's doing with playing Washington and Hunter off of each other. It hasn't lit a fire under Washington yet.

Not sure if you're watching the Steelers as objectively as I am this season.
