Jacoby Jones... we released Archer for this?

He's horrible and if they keep putting him out there, he's going to cost them a game at some point.
 
what happened to him? Doesn't look like the same guy returning kicks for BAL and that wasn't too long ago. My benefit of the doubt is running out.

My random guess is he has vision issues... he looks the ball in like Dewayne Washington used to before he got things taken care of... I think his hand eye is off...
 
At this point I say release him and sign any one. Dri Archer, Mike Adams, Bubby Brister I don't care.
 
Seriously, he seems spaced out. After a big play (AB's in this last game), the camera pans over to AB on the bench and Jacoby Jones is sitting there beside him looking like he's in la-la land. Looks like the ****** is on something. I've seen that look from him the past two weeks. I was initially excited about the signing, but not anymore. He is done and should be cut asap.
 
Who decides to pick up players in this organization. San Diego got rid of him for what we are seeing. Archer was just not big enough to do anything as we used him. I will say we allow the opposition to move the ball and when they punt we usually are fielding the ball inside the ten which doesn't give much leeway on what a return man can do with the coverage. The not handling the ball seems to be Jones problem or he is watching to many reruns of the Ravens this year.
 
This team is making decisions based on PAST performance, without regard to current ability. See Vick, and Jacobey Jones. There are more, those are just the most glaring.

At least Mike Vick showed "some" past ability - Jacoby hasn't shown anyone anything except for the fact that his hand and eye coordination is GONE. Just like his speed and agility....
 
To me, it seems like he just doesn't care, is putting forth no effort, just there to get a paycheck. He should be cut. Now, that doesn't mean bring back Archer, he was ineffective too. Give Weaton a real shot at it, or bring up Murphy.
 
If he has vision issues, get him to the damn optometrist and get his *** some glasses or contacts. Vision issues wouldn't be a surprise. There is some reason he can't field kicks anymore. If it's not vision issues, then maybe he's on drugs or needs to be.
 
I think the Steelers will be working out undrafted rookies this week for KRer.
 
The blocking on ST is ****. That doesn't excuse his fumbles, but the blocking is ****. Hope to see it improve so we can get better field position as the weather turns.
 
Lacks confidence and blocking, poor decision maker, bad hands/ catching technique what a waste of space. Give someone worthy his roster spot already.

I've been told many times here that what players say in interviews doesn't matter. Apparently, the exception I when Tomlin says something that sounds stupid. That is when you are supposed to believe it is exactly the way he thinks.

Or something like that.
 
Give Wheaton and boykins a chance

For me, it would be sight unseen as I haven't seen boykin in any return situation. That said, i have seen jacoby and it's not a pretty sight. What ever is holding boykin offr the field, if possible, he should get a one game hall pass, to show if he has it or not........ consider this a challenge both tomlin and boykin.....
