Jacoby Jones... we released Archer for this?

10 PS offers but no 53 man roster spots offered yet... people are still intrigued by his speed, but his film says at best he isn't ready yet... that's how I read it... its rare for a guy who is a third rounder or higher to not get at least another look or two on a main roster... everyone thinks they can bring out more in a player and fix his flaws... and you know what... sometimes they do...

Tentative, slow, no vision, etc. Again, there's probably a good reason they cut this guy in the middle of the season. I may be wrong, and with a few practice sessions this week he'll transform into a completely different player by next Sunday. But if you've seen him at all this year on tape, I'm afraid this is as good as it gets.

Most of the lanes he picked were downright terrible
 
I didn't personally see any running lanes for him.

You saw lanes? Interesting. I just saw Jones surrounded by Raidiers and ten Steelers with their dick in the hands
 
the talking heads pointed out the guys on ST were chirping at Jones for not going where the blocking was.

Baby Dri was much more interesting.

Perhaps with Jones being a veteran guy in the returns department, he can help with suggestions with blocking schemes that have helped him.

People need to learn to take what Tomlin says at his press conferences with a grain of salt. He is not being open and honest with every answer, nor should he be.
 
To be fair, it is much tougher to block on KRs since the penalties against wedges started. Can't block in tandem with more than 2 people. It's much more wide open for defenders to get in now.
 
I had high hopes for this move because Dri was horrible but Jones seems to have forgotten how to catch the ball. I think he has fumbled/muffed half of the kicks. He may not make it past next week if he keeps this up.

I don't know about not contributing as a receiver, but he did have a nice catch today. I'm with you on putting him back there. Jacobi isn't above the line, currently. I say keep the line moving forward until we find the right guy. Maybe another week and Jocoby's light turns on, coarse that would take a time travel back to his prime time, tomlin dodging skill set.......

I was one of the guys that thought we should sign him as a free agent before the season begun. You know,extra receiver ,run back kick offs. Experience. Boy was I wrong. Looks like he hates being in a Steeler uniform. Cut him now.
 
I won't be surprised if he's not on the team our next game. If you can't even catch the ball then running lanes are useless.
 
I think I would take Archer back over him. Archer was ineffective but Jones makes me flat out nervous.
 
He sucks. Now we know why San Diego gave up on him.
 
He needs to be cut. He's worse than Archer, he's not just unproductive, he's a liability.

His inability to clean field punts will eventually cost us a game.
 
He won't be cut until he **** us over multiple times. That is the Tomlin way. Let them **** you good first...
