Jacoby Jones... we released Archer for this?

So like I stated and steelerdepot reported it wasn't Archers fault on the return problems. Looking at Jacoby we pretty much got ten years older, slower, and a guy who can't do anything but muff punts and give us crappy field position.

At this point I'd rather dump Jones and get archer back.
 
It's his first game as a Steeler

I bet he looked taller and less fragile doing it, though.
 
He just got here, what Thursday. Archer two years and nothing including bad field position. Field position is caused by our defense letting other team get to the fifty or better.
 
Our return unit can't block and it doesn't matter if Deion Sanders was our return man we aren't going to be able to do squat.
 
I understand the frustration with Archer but his return numbers were actually better than Jones. Can't Tomlin find someone who's an upgrade over the player he's replacing on the roster?

He has been on a team all year, hasn't he? It's not like he was sitting on the couch drinking beer for a few weeks. It ain't like he had to learn a ton of plays. Are the KO return plays that complex between teams?
 
If you didn't know that Jones was now 13, you couldn't tell the difference with the poor blocking.
 
The Steelers lead the league in players named Jones.
 
I thought the same thing during the game. Jones and Archer looked about the same. I think Tomlin was expecting more too. I notice Brown was back in as PR at the end. Maybe Archer comes back too. lol
 
Tomlin's got a gut.
 
Steelers special teams on kickoff returns is not good! By the time Jones has the ball there are five guys bearing down on them. They need to block better or the return game won't show any improvement at all.
 
I couldn't understand why the guy wasn't calling for the fair catch on his punt returns. Backed up in the five a couple of times when he could of got it further out. Maybe only a few yards but makes a difference when you're pinned that deep.

He actually looked more indecisive than Archer back there. Give him a pass because it is his first game but needs to improve.
 
I read somewhere that most of Jones Salary is being paid by the chargers and Ravens. We are only on the the hook for 300,000 or so
 
I think it's a curse on the jersey number - he's wearing Archer's number 13
