Isiah Pead coming in to tryout for RB

Would you say Pead at #50 has been a bigger bust than Archer at #97?

I don't like this pick up. Pead never panned out in St. Louis, he is small (5'10"/200lbs), and he's damaged goods. He tore his ACL returning kicks. This is an exert from one of the many articles I read today about him. None of which were glowing endorsements for this guy.

"With the 50th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Rams drafted Isaiah Pead, a running back who was fast and possessed a little power. Pead never lived up to the hype, losing his position to 7th-round selection Daryl Richardson in the same draft. Pead has never made an impact running the ball in his career for the Rams."

So why him? Cheap and sitting on his couch? If that is the case, then is the FO saying we are throwing in the towel for this season and just trying to fill an empty roster spot? IDK, and I just don't understand the signing when there are a handful of guys out there with a much stronger NFL pedigree. We need to win the next 6 of 8 to make a wildcard push, and if D Williams gets hurt we are one dimensional.

Boy I hope I am wrong about this guy, but all indicators point to a terrible pick. I will publicly apologize, on here of course, if this dude is a stud. I hope I get to say "sorry"

Who exactly would you have signed instead???

Baseball analogy: Pead is a HR hitter that strikes out a lot and has a weak glove hand. But he is a HR hitter.

I think he had 178yds in his career w/ St Louis so he didn't hit many. He was picked 50 slots ahead of Archer so has been an even bigger bust to date..
