Is Tomlin's Wife or Mom a McCullers

I'll also guess that next year, Henry Mondeaux will make a serious run at a roster spot, but as long a McCullers keeps driving opposing linemen into the backfield, he'll keep landing a roster spot.

Then why has his playing time been cut. Why is he never in games? Why do they run a 2 DL goal line set? It makes no sense.

They have a new DL coach and Kozora states he is allowing the players a little more room to freelance, as opposed to being locked into their role under Mitchell.

I can see where that would help Hagrave, Tuitt and Heyward. I don't see that helping the guy the size of a car. How is freelancing going to help him? Will he drop into coverage? Not sure how that's going to work.

If that happened with even the slightest of regularity, he would be on the field all the time. He doesn't need to make the tackle but even if he budged a double team he would be more than worthwhile as a Starter. Hampton wasn't a stat guy, but you couldn't take him off the field.

That would apply more if they were still running a NT based 3-4 defense like they did 5-10 years ago.

Big Dan won't be dropping into coverage ;)

More like instead of being told to stand ground and take on 2 blockers, he can now push the pocket into the backfield on certain plays. Dan can do that, and when he gets his sacks, that's how he does it. Whereas the other 3 do it with athleticism, Big Dan can do it with sheer bulk and strength. He still may be inactive on game day, but I don't feel badly about him getting some work, and there is no way I leave him inactive week 1, when the Pats just built a power running line.

Is he unnecessary or just not good enough? Cause I could go either way with that. They let a promising returner walk. He needs to do much more than he is done to justify his roster spot.

The pats*** are bad about morphing into whatever they need too. If I'm Belicheat and Dan is on the field I go no huddle hurry up offense.

He doesn't really fit what Tomlin wants on defense. Which is why I don't understand what they see in him. He's a backup so it isn't a big deal to me. Just odd that Tomlin doesn't even want a NG on the field at times and he's done everything he can to get more mobile NGs. Why keep someone that you don't even use and also doesn't fit what you want. Makes no sense. But well see how it goes.

He's a backup. This isn't Madden where you can stack your depth chart with all starter-level players. McCullers is DL #6 because they always carry 6 and he's not been unseated yet.

I could think that way if he was in his third year and was a special teams asset. He adds zero value to Sp. Teams. Even if he actually improved his ceiling is so low. Its 6 ****** years. Even if I said to myself maybe this guy is just a little under him, he could get a hell of a lot better. It really comes down to this, if Hargraves gets hurt if he is next up, ok. I just dont think he is. I think Alulalu is. Switzer catches punts well, but you cut a guy who looked like an exciting return man. I would prefer to have went 5 DL and 6 receivers and had a dedicated return man in Spencer. Guarentee that is more impact than Big Dan and his 7 tackles and 80 snaps.

What mother ******* are saying is he needs to get his Mount McCullers *** into gear, or see his gigantic *** fall it's gigantic *** way into oblivion.

I think Switzer will be an exciting return man if the blocking shows up. He has succeeded as a return man every level he's been except his one year in Pittsburgh. Also, I believe I read that this is the first time the Steelers have had the same dedicated return man in back to back years since Rod Woodson. That's something to be excited about I think.

The answer is 'no'. While I'm not a Big Dan fan, I went back and rewatched all the preseason games (today) and he has improved. I met his aunt and uncle a few years back when I was at NC State - nice couple (I think I have their number in my phone still LOL). I know Coach Tomlin's wife's best friend - she's a waitress down in Sarasota (think I'll go see her for a game this year)...

This post tells me everything. Now I understand why you defend Tomlin at all costs. Off topic I'd love to see a Steeler Hard Knox, just to see how Tomlin compares to the other head coaches they feature. My guess is his X's and O's part of the game is on the low side.

Back to topic, Big Dan is a little lucky to be on this team. L.T Walton had a bit more value, but he's on the Bills in 2019. Outside of being a situational run defender, Big Dan's value is low. For example he played just 10.6 percent of the team's defensive snaps last season. The Steelers gave him a new 2-year deal worth 2.75 million. IMO Rookie I. Buggs is already better than he is. We'll see who dresses for games by mid season.

I'd struggle to recall McCullers jersey number, two reasons. He has changed it three times, and he has done very little on the field.

If he could just belly flop on Tom Brady, I'll take back everything I said about him.

I figured he was getting cut this year but with the torn achilles (can't remember the guy's name) he kept his spot. Buggs will surpass him on the depth chart. Buggs may even take Hargrave's spot down the road.

I agree. I was high on Buggs, and he proved it during the senior bowl week. Tough guy to block, and for a big guy his effort is excellent.

Hell Bud has been a full time starter the last two seasons, and he has 11.5 sacks in 30 starts and 61 solo tackles and we are giving him 9 million dollars.

Your post tells us a lot of things as well. Routinely provide rhetorical comments, primarily towards negative views in regards to your agenda and without any objective findings on your disagreements.

“Obviously”, your diction is seriously deficient in simple grammar/composition. It’s knocks, not Knox.

Back on topic which against supports you don’t watch games, as stated above, Walton was cut by Buffalo and has yet to sign with a club. Plus McCullers has been 93 since 2016 when Cam Thomas wasn’t retained.

Until they find someone better, and cheaper...McCullers is filling the role defined for him. Has been an underwhelming player, but Coach Dunbar seems to have lit a fire for improvement from him.

Don't be jealous of my friend's list...

Now, let's talk about your 'actual knowledge' of the roster. You say Big Dan has changed his number THREE TIMES??? M'kay...riiiiiiiiiiight...

Little disturbed that he wants to see a hard Knox. Not that I am judging.
