No matter when someone dies, twenty years of Tomlin we would all be dead inside.

Ya know regardless of what today’s outcome is, whether we lose today and miss the playoffs or win out and get in and actually win a playoff game, something has changed for me.
I just do not feel the same with the Steelers as I have in the past. For starters I don’t feel the owner shares the same passion as his father and his father before him. With Art II it’s business and he’s not willing to make the hard changes when necessary and has become somewhat comfortable accepting mediocrity. Even his minority owners knew what needed to be done last year.
Then there’s the team’s identity which I have no idea what it is anymore. Gone are the days of the aggressive, intimidating defense replaced with something many years obsolete not able to create turnovers and hold leads.
And the offense great at times but seems to be a model of inconsistency committing far too many turnovers.
Then we have the lack of real team leaders like in past years and undisciplined players seemingly doing whatever they want.
A head coach who frankly has been an embarrassment and continues to do just enough to keep his job. A coach that should have been replaced after the embarrassing home playoff loss to the Jags last year. That was the time to start cleaning this mess up and yes, it’s his team of underachievers that most likely will be watching from home come playoffs. 2018 will go down as a total waste of a season but business will continue as always, a scapegoat here, a sacrifice there, but the cancer will remain and I will continue to grow further apart from my once beloved Steelers.
This is a lifelong job for Tomlin who will leave on his terms.

I disagree. Every man has his boiling point, and the pot is getting hot. If the Steelers lose today and miss the playoffs, I think there is a 33% chance he's fired.
Out of smoke! Tomlin is 3-5 in his last eight playoff games, 3-6 if you include the Super Bowl loss to the Packers. He has won a playoff game in just 4 of his 11 seasons, and most of those came early..
Art II see's the Steelers as a corporate grab than an actual legacy.
Well that's what I feel at least.
I guess just the entire landscape of sports in general is becoming this way
Actually that wasn't that bad of a call. You punt to Brees and he goes the length, milks the clock...game over. Now the Steelers D had been holding but they were switching schemes and tactics all through the game, Brees would go hurry up and score while using the clock, while we have communication/personnel breakdowns.
If Nix gets the first or Ju Ju doesn't fumble Steelers possibly get the TD and if not the FG. Too many young players on that D....I understand exactly why Tomlin went with that. Again not a Tomlin supporter and not saying I agree completely with it, but I get it the thinking behind it.
Wrong! Look if you want to go for it, go five wide with Ben on 4th down.
The fake punt was poorly disguised as a man was sent in motion, alerting the defense to watch for tricks. And the distance was too long.
An extra 40 yards from a punt would make it harder on the Saints. No guarantee they would be able to score a touchdown.

I get it but too many young players in our secondary and Brees was going to cause breakdowns while draining the clock. We'll never know.
SDS will stop ******* sheep before Tomlin is fired.
