Is it us or the AFCN?

Its not my point, the Fan is saying we are benefactors of the rest of the division being so good at sucking. By taking out the games vs the bottom dwellers we can disprove this. Since Tomlin took over do we have winning record if you take out the Browns or not?

I agree the AFC East has been the worst division in football for the past 15 years.

And I agree the Browns have been terrible, and that is usually 2 wins. Cincy under Lewis, and the Ravens have at least been competitve and make the playoffs.

So to me the Browns = the Bills, they are both absolutely terrible franchises.
Jets and Dolphins don't even quite equal the Bengals. Since 08, Miami has 2 winning records, The Jets have 4 winning records and they share a total of 4 playoff appearances. Bengals have 6 winning records and 6 playoff appearances.

That's how bad the AFC East is. They have 3 teams worse than the Bengals, and never had to compete against a Superbowl contender (minus 2 years with the Jets), I wish we were in that shithole division getting 6 wins a year!

At this point, they are an average team with a record that represents their mediocrity. They could improve, but they are what their record says they are.

The Ravens are often better than just OK. They have won two Lombardi's since 2000, just like us. And they've had many deep playoff runs in that span as well.

Not even comparing the Ravens. They are a legit franchise. Just pointing out that all 3 teams under the Pats in the AFC East are WORSE than the Bengals. Obviously you should be able to extrapolate that the Ravens and Steelers have had more success.

And we're not an average team, by record, we are a slightly above average team leading the division!

Interesting stat...You would think with Tucker and their defense they would pull out the close games

"The Ravens are 0-6 over the past two season in games decided by six points or less, and they must put another behind them quickly and move on."

We have some tough games coming up. If the D stays aggressive we have a shot. If not we are going to get torched by the Pats, Chargers, and Saints. Ravens, Panthers, and Bengals certainly wont be walks in the park and we have to play in Oakland which usually doesnt go well for us. The Jags are a shell of what they were so hopefully we get them at the right time. Broncos stink, but its in Denver so I do not want to have Tebow flashbacks. Browns are competitive, but should be able to outlast them.

Someone's been reading my articles ;)

Love Haden and Hilton. They make our defense click. Throw in a Peterson and they may be top 5.

People love Hilton for his blitzing ability, but even more important, I think, is that he is the Steelers' second-best coverage guy...and it isn't even close.

Top 5 might be a stretch, though.
