I consider what he is doing this year kind of legendary. I also see him returning next year, because the Steelers will
need him early and possibly to groom a #1 pick replacement. Didn't think when he first left Steelers he had a chance
at Hall, but now thinking he has a good shot.

He will get in.....Kind of like Kevin Greene.....he will wait a minute, but he will get the necessary support.

His performance since returning to the Steelers has been a Renaissance pretty much unheard of at his position & his age.....He dominated a 5 year stretch, so yeah, he will get in.....

DPOY, 2 SB rings, and Steelers sack leader (which says a lot)...he definitely deserves it, that's for sure.

According to his Facebook, he may also lead the league in "random" drug tests and has passed everything Goodell has thrown at him over the years.

Hope so.

Glad it wasn't that way, but have always wanted to know from someone who really knows the rules this question. Had Fitzgerald caught him, by running out of bounds (which he clearly did) would that be a legal tackle or is that like the run out of bounds on a punt cover (ala Chad Scott, 2001 AFC championship game deal.)

I honestly would have said no before this season.....but let's just put this out there, how many 38 year old LINEBACKERS have ever been dominant in this game? He's done it every which way over a span of a lot of years. I think he's earned HOF credentials. I don't think he will get in right away, but he's definitely HOF worthy.

You mean without Deer Antler Spray? All I can say is Harrison is a bonafide beast and 100% ALL NATURAL. Plus he never killed anyone...

This plus probably the most electrifying Super Bowl play ever, he's in.

You cannot give Reputation to the same post twice.

Tough call for Harrison. When he was at his best he was one of the top guys in the entire league, just flat out dominant. I don't know if he'll ever get in, but I will say if Terrell Davis makes it, Harrison has to be a lock.

Had harrison stayed retired he still would have made it... people underplay what a dpoy and good storyline can bring... add the superbowl play and he was gravy... all this does is ensure he didnt wait like Swann had to...

The fact of the matter is you dont discuss linebackers in this era without Harrison... and you absolutely cant tell the story of the nfl without his war with goodell.. these are writers who vote, mind you... harrison was always getting in it just was taking longer before this season...

Well, the play came after time expired, and it was on an offensive play. Thus, the game (or half) CAN end on an offensive penalty as we saw last week with the Ravens against the Bengals. SO, if Fitzgerald had tackled Harrison even illegally, and HAD a flag been thrown with no time out, it would not have mattered. An un-timed down would NOT have been played.

He also holds the record for most random drug tests ever submitted to.

Not that they would have called it, but an unfair act that deprives ateam of a clear td can be ruled a td anyhow... regardless of
Time...

1. Good point about it being writers that vote and not being able to tell the story of the league without his war with rog.
2. Because writers do the voting, there's a good chance he gets in based on merit AND the fact that they would love to hear/write about what he has to say during his induction speech. I know I'd pay to sit in the stands just to be able to say I was there for that one!

Not as long as Gödel leads the NFL. Harrison return in the Super Bowl which should be the best play ever in a Super Bowl should give him check marks as well as leading sack man in Steeler history.

Wouldn't hurt if he got back to another Super Bowl and had a few game-changing sacks in it...

;- )

I think Harrison is a HOFer, but I don't think he gets in while Roger is in charge.

^this. Roger has a hard on for him since he made "you got jacked up" his wet dream.
