Rams relied more on a RB off the street in Super Bowl. Bell was going to use the Gurley contract as a marker. But Gurley's late season
performance might have lowered RB market value. Bell might be lucky to get what Steelers offered.

No RB is worth anywhere close to that. Conner was a pro bowler at 500k a season.

Gurley said last night after the game that he was fine.

I heard that in6terview too but what else is he going to say that doesn't look like an excuse. I don't profess to know either way but I think that was "player" speak to satisfy everyone.

Salute the nation

Running back have not won super bowls for years. The QB and coach are the main reasons for victory.

I'm glad as heck BellwWalked. No way was he worth what the Steelers offered. We get 14.5 million back in cap space. For those who know the rules, do we also get a comp pick if someone offers Bell franchise type of money?

Any team that pays big bucks for a RB is asking for trouble. There are so many good RBs around and they don't last long. Just get a guy like Connor and you're fine. I've said for years that RBs are over rated and not very valuable in today's NFL.

There is no way Gurley was healthy. You dont barely play one of the best RBs in the game in the playoffs w/o good reason. He is either hurt or in the doghouse (which I do not think). Regardless I do not think Bell will get close to what he wants. The Jets already said they are not breaking the bank for him. I hope he has to settle for less than the steelers offer.

Gurley is a good reveiving back. If he was healthy, Rams win that game easily.

I hope some team gives him enough money so we can receive a 3rd round compensatory pick in the 2020 draft. And I hope the team he goes to sucks, and his " stats " which were inflated because he plays in the Steeler offense significantly decline, leaving him an unhappy me first type of diva, and the Steelers the best return on Me'Von.

310 yds of NE's offense was picked up by guys 5'10". I believe Edelman, White, Michel and Burkhead are all around 5'10".

The Rams coach ****** this whole thing up by not using his best player the last 2 weeks when he said he was 100%. This has nothing to do with Gurley's skill level. He is the best or arguably the best 3 down RB in the league and he had 2 ******* carries in the first half and no targets in the passing game. I thought Tomlin was the coach.. It was just like many on here saying Conner wasn't the guy after he had a couple monster games and then nothing for a few. He had nothing for a few games because they didn't have him in the game plan. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! It cost the Rams the SB.

No. It didn't cost the Rams the SB. They were NEVER going to win that game. They did not have the talent or the experience to even SNIFF a chance in that game.

he was no where close to healthy or they would of used better screens or had him in the slot

The whole situation is strange, particularly if he actually is 100% healthy. I have trouble believing that's actually the case. You would think your best player should get more than 10 touches, or whatever he had.

Obviously.

Totally disagree. The Patriots lost 5 games this year let's not make out like they're invincible. Gurley is a beast if he was 100% like he says he was then it is on the coaching staff for not using him.

As for Gurley being worth the contract? Cooks ext was for $80 million while Gurley was $45 million. If anything people should be questioning whether he is worth the money. He's on the books for $27.5 million this coming season, that is more than Edelman has made in his whole 10 year career.

It's baffling. And I thought I heard the announcers saying that Gurley had a big workload during the week and looked fine. What's particularly weird is no one in the media seems to be talking about it.

All of these clown reporters have zero issue digging up dirt on the Steelers yet not one of them can get any information on why one of the best players in the was in essence benched for a street free agent?

I hope they give up on him and trade him to the Steelers for a third rounder. lulz

I bet he really just wasn't' 100 percent.

Good point. We want answers!

I think its pretty much obvious that Gurley was nowhere near game-ready, as far as his health was concerned
