Iran

Come on my guy. You know who’s out there throwing a fit every time the man eats, drinks, blinks, shitts, coughs, breathes. Yes, a small number of conservatives are FINALLY being somewhat critical about the Iran conflict, but you know who and what I’m talking about because you’re one of the people throwing those fits if your hundreds of posts about Trump are any evidence. If you want to have an honest discussion, I’m here for it. But playing coy about where the actual criticism of all things Trump is coming from is disingenuous at best.

Of course the left piles on, as they should, as midterms roll around.

There is a real, palpable movement in opposition to Trump stateside and around the world. It's not coming out of thin air, nor is pure partisan politics, as many here suggest. In my view, the constant criticism is not unwarranted and is not "politics as usual." My posts "throwing fits" about Trump come from a place of great concern for the country, the nation, and the Republic. Its not some whimsical disdain I have for a deeply broken man.

It's great to see conservative Republican voices stand up to this President. The growing criticism of the Iranian debacle is a good example of it, joining the ranks of former conservative judges, politicians, academics, and journalists who have been as loud and clear in their opposition to Trump as the constantly screaming, blue-haired, unhinged left.

...but at this point destroy the group that took over Iran almost 50 years ago. Let Iran be free again. Wouldn't you agree?

Blitz, of course I agree. Sadly, nothing like this is happening. Trump & Hegseth mention it fleetingly as some passing fancy, but it seems disconnected from the ongoing war that's increasingly gone off the rails. When the US government is run by goons and idiots, it matters little that we have the greatest military in the world.

Trump stepped in a hornet's nest, and here we are, mired in yet another foreign war 7,000 miles away, with little logic, reason, or end in sight, burning through $100 billion in the process.

Fun fact: the $130 billion US aid to Ukraine was spent over 3 1/2 years. The $100+ billion for the war in Iran spent under 4 months.

I just thawed out 2lbs of pepper bacon. Going to trade 1lb of in for 2 dozen chicken eggs and 6 duck eggs.
Duck eggs good for baking fyi
Sounds delicious. I made quesadillas this evening. Some of the best I’ve made.

buy bulk. had to purchase a 5th freezer last year. 3 for veggies, 1 cow 1 pig
A neighbor works at the Fry's (Kroger) distribution warehouse. About a year ago they had a couple of freezers go bad and were just going to throw away everything in them.
He brought a boatload of bacon home, still frozen, and gifted everyone on the block 30 pounds each.

I love bacon. The Mom & Pop's are so much better than the big label mass producers. It's not even a close fight. Do yourselves a favor and try these just once. You will be amazed.

Alward's regular sliced is what most brands call thick sliced. Goose lists maple as an ingredient but you can't really taste it. It's not sweet like syrup. And if you do order from Alward's, get some smokie stix. You will thank me.

Nothing that Trump or Hegseth are telling us about their unprovoked, unilateral war against Iran is true.

I guess this comes as a shock to exactly *nobody* by now.

Man, we talked about this three pages ago, maybe more.

The primary shortfall is Patriot Missiles and ATACMS. When you are handing a decent portion of your supplies to Ukraine for 2-3 years and then decide to attack Iran and are forced to use air defense missiles to shoot down drones while still giving stuff to Ukraine through European proxies, a simple technology that we are horrifically far behind the rest of the world in developing, this kind of stuff will happen.

Right, Sarge. The update here is that it has now been confirmed by US Defense Department's inspector general, completely contradicting what Trump & Hegseth are claiming.

I thought it was confirmed a while ago. Trump was the only one denying it as I recall.

Interesting article. Perhaps Trump and Hegseth are not being honest about damage and casualties.
I've beyond the point where I believe anything coming out of the media or politicians mouths. It's all bullshit and primarily designed to just divide everyone. The only thing I believe is my paycheck, the price of goods and services and what I see around me.

Relative to most we as a country still have it good compared to most but things are going downhill fast across our society. You can see it every day on every street corner. Too many evil people out there in places of power who can manipulate lives, and futures.

The sad thing is, we the people have absolutely no control over it outside of some sort of civil war, which I hope doesn't happen in my lifetime and I'm too old to do anything about it anyways.

I think it's funny, odd, sad, haven't had enough coffee yet to come up with the right adjective.

Anywho, it used to be that the media would overestimate the success of US forces; the Viet Cong are on the run, success is ours.
Nowadays they seem to actively cheer against our military.
Either way, I tend not to believe everything that I read, hear, or in some cases even see with my own eyes.
