Iran

It was bad near Pittsburgh yesterday. We reached the maroon level air quality which is the worst. Today it has been better so far, but it is still halfway between purple and maroon. They shut down parks / pools / basically any outdoor activities today and yesterday
All I can say is that I never wanted a weather man to be wrong more than I want this one to be wrong. Weather is miserable enough without a cloud of smoke.

@Buff must be grilling again.

Many of the weather ladies copy the Tina Turner strut as they show you the maps.

There are two westher ladies on Fox weather that always try to " outslutty" one another. Quite a show.

Btw…WTF is up with you people with your wildfires? LOL

Getting smoked out here in Cleveland
And no, the picture below is not the way Cleveland always looks.
My back yard and sunroom smells like a campfire.

It reminds me of last year with all the fires in Washington State and Oregon blanketed Vancouver.
Here’s a link from a fellow Canadian from a small community in BC. He died a few days ago fighting a fire in Colorado. He got a hero send off in Colorado in appreciation of his sacrifice. I had tears in my eyes,it was a beautiful gesture. Canada sends 100’s of firefighters and planes ,equipment to help fight fires in California and many other states. Nicholas Dale was his name,in case you want to send his family a message about the smoke. I’m sure his wife and children would appreciate it.

As per the norm, Cleveland ain’t got nothing on Pittsburgh not even when it comes to hazardous air!
Check out this view from Mount Washington… looks like circa 1963!
Yep, because of the mountains that surround the city. Helps to keep it contained.

Trump was jealous of his pal Putin, who attacked Ukraine for a three-day "special military operation" in 2022 and has been stuck in a quagmire ever since. Putin, the undisputed king of military self-owns, must have inspired Trump's rudderless, belligerent foreign policy and military adventurism. If he can do it, why can't I?

Trump's unprovoked attack on Iran has been a master class in futility, lies and deception from day one. This latest forever-war in the Middle East has already cost US taxpayers up to $80-$150 billion, but who's counting? And at the Pentagon, 'roid-rage Fox News-host Pete Hegseth is proposing to inject American troops with testosterone shots to keep morale high. What could go wrong?

Meanwhile, MAGA faithful spend their waking hours bellyaching about Biden, Obama, and the impeding "communist!!" red scare that would have made Joseph McCarthy wince.

What an absolute, unmitigated mess this country has become. As the saying goes, elections have consequences. Ain't that the truth.

I mean, I laughed. The self-own and 'Roid rage references were funny.

Thanks Sojourner. Appreciate the brief moment of sanity on this board, before each and every comment is drowned out by infantile memes and insults. Good to know there are at least a handful of adults in the room. Have a great weekend.

Upset by infantile memes and insults? You may want to review what you have written in the past and then made a conscious decision to post.
You may want to reconsider just who the adults in the room are.
There's never been a politician that's as good as or as bad as their proponents or critics would have you believe.
Trump, while certainly not without flaws, is not deserving of the unfounded rhetoric thrown his way while ignoring the positive accomplishments of this administration.
Adults would be able to comprehend this.

Couple of things here.

Without US intervention and the depletion of our own military assets, there is no “quagmire” in Ukraine, as it would simply be a part of Russia.

The testosterone thing, while liberals have turned it into something utterly ridiculous, is a problem. It’s a problem because if, as an active duty member of the military you have low testosterone, it is nearly impossible to get a prescription for TRT. They will not do it. You almost need Jesus to approve an act of congress, that’s how rare it is.

I’ve had low testosterone since I was about 35. Couldn’t get it until I was retired and went through a ridiculous process that took years. Yes, years. I have since stopped taking it because it turned me into a hairy Sasquatch and raised my PSA to a ridiculous level. Doesn’t work for everyone I guess.

It just disturbs me how, when people actually try to improve things for certain people, it gets ridiculed out of hand and dismissed based on politics. We can point at politicians and political parties, but we’d solve the problems a whole lot faster by looking in the mirror.

Aww “Thanks Sojourner”. How touching.

The majority of the infantile names and insults were on display in your initial post.
Stop acting as though your morals are superior to others you fgt.

As far as Iran, we have **** the bed so far. Someone needs to get in the president’s ear and point out that you cannot win a war on bombing alone. It is going to take ground forces. **** or get off the pot. This retarded conflict has gone on long enough. Nations that aren’t even involved are suffering for this, but for how much longer? At some point, they’re going to have to protect their own interest.
