Happened lots of times. The Steelers need to claim a bye. Unfortunately they would be on a colision course with Jax. Ravens Chiefs and Jax are all dangerous to the Pats.

The Jags just lost to AZ a week or two ago. They're beat able. Bortles hasn't been forced to beat a team and they haven't played many good teams this season. Their division is a train wreck. Playoffs are a different animal. Ask the Dolphins, and Bengals.

Three weeks ago. If you make them play the long field and dont turn the ball over more than once. They can play serious man coverage though which is the Brady antidote. Bortles is below average but tgey have a running game and he can make all the throws.

Im not knocking Bortles. Statistically for his career he is a below average qb. Up until this season they considered letting him walk. Im mearly saying the way to beat them is to try to force him to win it. The Steelers lost because their defense got five picks. These are just facts.

Reading yesterday's chat transcript from Gerry Dulac of the Post-Gazette, he thinks the Steelers, not the Patriots, will end up hosting the AFC Championship game.

Without getting more specific, what he's saying is that either the Steelers will reclaim the No. 1 seed, or the Pats will lose in the playoffs:

Just remember men...

Nobody...not nobody...

circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills!

Dulac is a homer. Of course he picks the steelers to win the 1 seed.

I told us that two days ago...LOL

I said it Monday morning! HA!

You beat JAX and BAL by not turning the ball over. Their offenses aren't good enough to beat you on their own. They need extra possessions to win games.

KC and NE have great offenses. NE has a weaker D, both have the best TEs in the AFC. With Haden back I am more confident in this team to win. Vance will be a boost without AB, he will get more targets. JuJu is key. He will be the #1 target receiver moving forward. He is capable, with his nearly 200yd game earlier this year.

Also Ben is pissed. He's going to play with a chip and a sense of urgency. I can't wait for Monday. Houston won't know what hit them!

Bortles didn't have to beat us. We turned the ball over too many times and Fournette killed us with cut back runs. We will need to stop the run first and take care of the football. Nothing is guaranteed for anyone in the playoffs.

There is no way in hell that New England will lose again in the regular season so Dulac can forget that crap. As for the playoffs, yes anything is possible and they could lose their divisional round game but don't count on it. I'm not trying to be negative but that loss on Sunday was a punch right to the nut sack that drastically decreased the Steelers chances of playing in this years SB.

I realize home field is a piece of it. But mostly it comes down to matchups. I thought the matchups were horrible. They are not. Add Haden and Hopefully AB. Play em anywhere. More concerned about getting the bye and winningthe divisional honestly.

Gotcha. You play the team in front of you...where ever it may be.

The jags at this point are basically the 2000 ravens knockoff, and Bortles is just Trent Dilfering his way through the season on that team.

I’d still take it, but if the Steelers were to win another championship without having beaten the Patriots to do so, I would feel like they had some unsettled business.

I can buy New England losing again before the AFCCG. Brady is not playing as well, there's friction in that front office and they don't have a whole lot of talent outside of Gronk and maybe Cooks. I could see them dropping one of these last two games...and I could DEFINITELY see them losing to Baltimore in the playoffs.

and as for getting to the SB without having to face them...I'm fine with that too. Don't care. They don't put the playoff schedule on that trophy...just the name of the champion.

Dude,....... Weather we play the cheating blasterds or not, makes no difference on the #7. The CHEATRIOTS obviously are the team that has benefitted the most from their cheating ways where sa the Steelers have benefitted the least, especially in big game formats. EVERY team in the NFL has been had by these cheaters in some form or another. Our's seems to be in the BIG games where a lot is a on the line. Getting beat by a team that has an advantage in rule book way is not a disgrace but what is a disgrace is the advancement of the cheating ways. Your statement of unfinished Buisness would be valid on a level playing field where BOTH teams have the same chance of winning but when one team is allowed the scales tipped in their favor, time and time again, then your unfinished Buisness has no merit. Do I want to beat their *** into the ground, HELL YEA, but to hoist #7 we will beat whoever is in front of us and we don't schedule the opponent. Good Day Sir

Look, if we win out... the pats very well could lose to buffalo... if the don't, they very well may let the Ratbirds in... their first match will be against either the Chiefs or Ravens who both beat them regularly... plus it will make us losing to the Jagoffs even more painful, lol
