Initial Thoughts on Bills Game

I watched the Saints and Dolphins game today, and I don't think we can beat the Dolphins...I'm not sure we win another game this year.

The worst I've seen a Steeler team play in the 21st Century!

Mike Tomlin has lost this team! They are just playing for a Gamecheck!

Defense gave up a franchise record 249 yds rushing! The 70's Steelers Defense would have allowed less yardage today at their current age!

FIRE TERYL AUSTIN.....There's at least 200 Defensive minded guys who would be a better DC for the Steelers!

FIRE ARTHUR SMITH.....Give me a OC with a pass first mentality!

Teach your Defensive players fundamentally how to tackle the ball carrier instead of just trying to punch the football out.

Why is Mason Rudolph on this roster? What about Skylar Thompson or Will Howard? At least they have a potential upside!

This team will not win another game this season!
 
I don't understand how a defense can get so completely and utterly dominated and still have the nerve to talk **** the entire second half.
 
Too busy popping a boil to even care..the mess coming out the boil smelt a 1000xs better than this team

Worst defense in the league,but the highest paid.

This entire thing needs gutted from the HC on down.
 
No one is going to convince me that our O line problems aren't 100% scheme. Every other week we see back up lineman dominate the highest paid defense in the league.

Watt and Highsmith had great games no? This is where gameplanning goes a long way.....simply lining your guy up against the guy across from you and doing the exact same thing every play....every game....every season.....probably doesn't help when the real coaches create an gameplan game plan to limit your star players.

Howard will get stuck with this ****** offense that nobody can make look good. It has been completely neutralized. Game,set&match!

Besides Rodgers and Mason would pretty much have to die for them to put Howard in.

This team when faced with adversity , folds like a deck of cards. The coaches have mailed it in. The never have a plan B when things don't go to plan.

I hope for his sake, he moves on before he destroys his legacy completely.
 
I actually thought their initial defensive gameplay was decent. They covered the middle. They were getting pretty gashed on some bumping it outside runs but they got off the field a lot. Then that scoop and score happened followed by the terrible int. And they just crumbled.

TJ is probably sick & tired of the Defense doing the same god damn scheme week in, week out for the past 12 years......the other 31 NFL teams have figured this out! It shouldn't come as a surprise at all when opponents say in the post game they knew the plays the Steelers were running both on offense & Defense

Honestly they have been this bad since 2018. Tomlin, Canada, Smith, Austin, Pickett, fields ,Wilson,
Every player on defense not named Watt or Minkah.
Every player on offense not named Warren or Pickens.

Every other Steeler besides them and Boz has been consistently underperforming to downright not good enough to get on the field.

Even 2020 season we started 11-0, we all knew it wasn't real. The team wasn't a threat. Kendrick Greene? Dionte Johnson the Wr#1?? Guy could never catch!

Its been sliding downhill for the better part of a decade.

What you are seeing now is the same thing, except the 40 million dollar man isn’t able to cover all the defensive warts any longer by himself.

The best guys on defense this year are journeyman, An undersized Herbig and Duggar. That sums it up.

What has highsmith done besides not play?
Cam has been playing like he thinks its the first round of the playoffs all season.

Jpj looking like a huge mistake

Payton wilson. Remember when people were excited about this kid? Sophmore slump to put it lightly.

Trading the best offensive player pickens
Trading the second best defensive player Minkah?

Everyone should have known these moves were never going to make things better.

Arthur smith has always been trash

The defense has been a shell of the steel curtain for a decade, keeping thè reputation alive through TJ. 1-11 without Watt.

Signing 2 old men and a Wr#2 as our Wr#1 in disguise was never going to save us.

Every skill guy drafted outside Washington over the past 5 drafts has been disappointing at very best. Contributed nothing meaningful. A few of them shouldnt even be an nfl backup.
Add that to Tomlin and his crap coordinators.

I'm rooting for Cincy to win the division and us to lose out so we can stop with this no losing seasons BS!
Higher draft picks, hotter seat for Mike

Its been over alot longer than people care to think of.
 
We lost to the bears with no lbs and didn't use the middle of the field. We lost to the Bills without OTs and gave up the most rushing yrds and I dont think we got a sack. . We have huge scheme issues on both sides of the ball. The D is all over the place. They should stick to one formation and at least make teams one dimensional. I don't even know what would help the offense other than throwing to the middle more and canning our line coach NOW.
