IMO we had the talent to play defense like you have to vs NE,

If you can't hand fight a guy for his first 3-5 yards on the field then you're pretty much useless. Go take some Kung Fu and work on those legs&hips while you're at it.My entire mission in the offseason would be to have my guys learning to be a disruptive force at the line while we get to the passer. All you need to buy is an extra 1-2 seconds so the pass rush can do it's job. That 10 yards off **** has to die a death now! No more excuses. No more soft **** in the middle. For ***** sake at least go down fighting.

So NE didn't use a single TE the first 20 plays?
If NE did go four wide, it's not like they have world beaters at wr, I sure as hell do not put Gay on Edleman or Hogan, and you know what maybe we don't have the guys to do that, but how the **** would we know, we didn't try it and we kept dropping our 39 year old pass rusher into coverage.

Nobody has explained yet how, even if he Steelers did all this stuff, they keep NE to under 17 points. Cause the Steeler offense only scored 17 points. This was a complete and total team loss.

NE is just better at crucial spots, particularly the coaching staff. It happens. This must be how Houston felt in the late 70s or even the Raiders during the 70s when they had to deal with Miami and Pittsburgh. It is just that NE has done it for such a long period of time.

The only way the Steelers will beat them with Brady there in one of these big games is if all of their talent is healthy and not suspended and they can outscore them.

The Pats could've pulled a game plan out of a hat and still won. I don't think there's anything we could have done to win this game the coaches are incompetent when it comes to game planning. It's a good thing we didn't have to play the Pats our last two SB's or we'd still be looking for the fifth, don't know what it is just can't beat that team better hope we don't face them next year again or any other time .

We been trying to fix that secondary for I think 10-12 years now it's always been bad but it's been serviceable at times, just can't get some real good corners in there and when they had one they let him go to New Orleans and kept a dud. The guy they let go led the league in passes defenced that year kept a guy with two ****** turnovers over a Cleveland Browns team at home on the last game of the year. That is some pretty fancy decision-making right there a two-year-old could've made the right choice.

You think Taylor/McFadden/Troy and Clark was a bad secondary? And check the record of the guy they let go after one decent year in NO.

Well, before then, the last gamble they made was in paying Brown over Wallace. With thag one, I think they afforded themselves to get one wrong. And it's not like Keenan Lewis became this total shutdown corner. NO's secondary has been worse than ours, even with Lewis's service, and now he's outta the league. Looks to me like they broke even on that one.

Comparing Atlanta's Defense to the Steelers Defense? Hmm, let's answer these questions shall we?
1. How many times did the Falcs put Brady on the turf?
2. How many times did the Steelers push Brady's face in the mud?
3. Which team gave up the most passing yards, Steelers or Falcons?
4. What team allowed more ground yardage, Steelers or Falcons?
And finally for meaningless extra credit (without extra credit no way I graduate HS)
5. What team made more glaring coaching blunders playing against Bill Belichicks kids, The Pittsburgh Steelers or the Atlanta Falcons.
You can check your own answers, we're all grown ups here.
I was going to ask what team started the most rookies on Defense but that would be silly. Everyone knows by a Championship game nobody is considered a "rook" anymore, rookies tend to be star struck and are in awe of greatness right?

It's not like Lewis lit it up in NO, he was just better than most of the other DB's here.
