The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the many teams in the NFL that have been connected to quarterback prospect Brendan Sorsby. He is unexpectedly entering the NFL via the Supplemental Draft after getting hit with gambling allegations during the 2026 offseason. He could have come out in the 2026 NFL Draft, but he signed a $5 million NIL deal to play his final college season at Texas Tech. He was ruled ineligible, but was then granted an injunction that would have allowed him to play in 2026 following a two-game suspension. The university and Sorsby caught a lot of heat for that, and shortly after, it was announced that he would be applying for the Supplemental Draft.
