I'm absolutely FED UP with NFL Officiating......

If a different officiating crew covers the game, the result is completely different. Every NFL fan knows it, and that is a problem the league has to solve. That game was the only game on for almost the entire country.

Despite all their problems, the Steelers would be playing in January if they had a different officiating crew for either the chargers or the saints game. They didn't just cost them the game, they ended their season. So frustrating.

The Chargers were gifted with a TD on a play that began with one of the most egregious false start non- calls in probably NFL history!
Who says the officiating doesn't affect the outcome of games?

The chargers and saints game were bad.

Again, this is a problem I have with replay. They review so much nonsense or plays that are obviously correct and waste our time, yet when there are bad calls by the officials that could easily be corrected with a 10 second replay, there is no option. I don't want to go replay crazy, but limit it to egregious calls on the field and have it done through a central system so the outcome of the play could be decided within 30 seconds of replay and another 30 of communication. It should never take more than a minute total.

Was so mad I was avoiding watching the replay of the 2nd PI call. Now I'm even angrier. After knowingly screwing them in the first quarter, how they could do it again is just unbelievable.

Haden and the WR are clearly within 5 yards and the receiver actually initiates the contact. After a brief separation, Haden gets a hand on the ball and knocks it down clean. At the very least, that is a highly questionable call and certainly one you should never see called on a 4th down that basically ends the game.

Didn't expect the Steelers to even be in this game, but they showed up and played. Still pissed 2 days later. Only solace I take in it is that this was pretty much the only game on so every football fan saw the pathetic display put on by the refs to favor the home team.

The false start did not give them a TD, ****** coverage gave them a TD. Half our defense stood still waiting for a flag instead of playing thru the whistle...that is on the defense not the officials.

OK so in the Post-Game you've got Tomlin, Ben and other players saying the officials had no bearing on the outcome of that game.

A statement like that is nothing but a FREE-PASS for the NFL and NFL Officials. These players and coaches really need to step up and make bold statements about the level of incompetence when it comes to NFL Officiating.

That first PI call on Joe Haden is absolutely ridiculous......it might even be worse than the False Start penalty that was missed in the Chargers game that gave the Chargers a TD. Haden basically touched the WR's back....not to mention the throw was about 5 feet over Kamara's head....it wasn't a catch-able ball.

The PI on Haden on the 4th & 2 is also ridiculous....the flag wasn't thrown until Thomas gets up and signals interference......then two refs toss a flag. If the refs didn't throw it initially....then it shouldn't be a penalty because obviously they didn't see it or they would have thrown the flag instantly as the play ended....instead it was seconds later after Thomas got up looking for a flag ala Tom Brady.

We have seen the NFL officiating change the outcome of games....unnecessarily and really ultimately change the outcome of games.....today was a perfect example.

And if no one noticed Michael Thomas pushed off right in front of the ref on the go ahead TD catch and no call was made....you can see Haden take a step backwards and no call on that either!

Fans, Players, Coaches and anyone involved in the NFL has seen it.......for what we pay for tickets to a game WE ALL DESERVE BETTER!

These players not calling out the officiating calls......really is almost like backing down from the MONSTER that in the NFL.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO CALL THEM OUT! IT'S RUINING THE GAME!!!

Not to mention the tip of Tuitt that they ended up calling PI on that play. Once the ball is tipped you can ******* rape your receiver and it isn’t pass interference

Here is the thing...I don't really think the total of penalties as being the problem. The back/side/line judges tell the players "they are seeing this infraction and they are going to call it". So players are sometime forewarned when it comes to holding on both sides. Its the plays that are due to "the moment in the game" where an official has gotten caught up with the crowd and impacts his decision making that blow my mind. They are professionals, they are supposed to tune all that out. The second PI on Haden was classic. Both the Side Judge and Back Judge waited a few seconds AFTER hearing the crowd before pulling out their flags. IMO, which means little to the argument, they got caught up and looked at each other at the same time. Someone with the 22 film would be able to see the body language of both after the play happened. If it was so blatant, there should be immediate response. not 3 to 4 seconds after the incomplete pass.

Madden said it best..when he was broadcasting with Summerall.....if there is a call that is so impactful to the game.....you shouldn't have to think about calling it.

On a quick play like that the officials don't have their hands on their flags. They never do. They have to watch the play and then reach for the flag. Then pull it out and throw it. It isn't like they already have them in their hands.

Also the 2nd Haden PI call was either a PI or a hold. Take your pick. Watch it and stop it at the 16 second mark. The WR has been pulled by the jersey so much he lost his balance. Seriously I know you people love conspiracy theories but at least watch the play without the black and gold glasses. IF that had been AB grabbed like that it would be all over the board.

He was raped before the ball was even thrown. Just watch the video. Also I've seen the close up of Tuitt's arm and I still can't tell if he touched it. No way they were going to over turn that.

Half of both teams did.

Maybe you can't see it Vader, but to me it's ckear as day. Many others agree.

There is the proof of Vegas controlling the game, there is no way that flag should be on Haden, it wasn't even close.
If that's the case you should have a penalty on every play.

So vegas you are making it to obvious on penalties. It's getting out of control. Way to much money involve in sport's today. The truth is Vegas would loose everything if they didn't play with the odds.
I seen guys get blasted and the ref is right there and no flag , that's impossible.
Then a guy gets touch a little
And the flag comes out really.
Please stop marking it look so obvious

Yes, rewatch the video. Who makes contact with who? Thomas engages Haden and Haden makes contact back. So if it’s not a tip or you make the call before it you throw two flags not one.

Haden GRABS him forward. You can see it if you'll take off the blk and gold glasses. The last sentence makes no sense. What difference does it make how many flags they throw. They could have called holding or PI.. with just ONE flag. But there were 2 flags on the ground... again go watch the tape.

And may other disagree. So what? You can't see the ball change direction. You may think you do but you can't actually see it. Not enough to over turn the call. That's the issue.

It was so ******* obvious that some of the players just froze. It's human nature. The refs hosed us multiple times in that game.

I just don't see what you are seeing. Haden made legal contact within five yards and the ball starts to wobble after Tuitt's tip. The game should have been over.

There is no way to see a wobble from the video I posted. But you can clearly see Haden grabbing the guy before the ball is in the air. So even if Tuitt tips the ball the play should have been called holding on Haden not PI. You can have contact but you can't grab a guy even within 5 yards. He clearly grabbed him. Just watch the WR and his movements. It's not hard to see.

Vader, first five yards from the snap there can be contact or chucking. It goes on all the time. All the time. Especially against TEs. Just think these officials got caught up in the moment of the play. Something they are purportedly trainee not to do.

You can't grab in the first 5 yards. I'm not talking about contact or chucking. Also he wasn't a TE. The officials called the wrong penalty but they got it right. If you seriously think the DB can hold and pull WRs in the first 5 yards then I don't know what to tell you. Chucking means they make ONE contact with them and they have to let them go after it even within the 5 yards. But at no time can you grab a WR and pull his jersey. If you could do that then no WR would ever get past 5 yards.

They grab, pull ,tug do all kinds of that **** week in and out in the NFL. They call it when they choose to call it. The ******* pats***** have been mugging people for 15 ******* years with rarely a call. Call the **** all the time for everyone or remove the rule.

So, you know what I think I see versus what I can actually see?!?!?!

It's getting very millennial around here. This is a classic case of very dumb, "I'm smarter than you" thinking.

How about this - I'll tell you what I see, because I'm an expert on my vision, and you tell me what you see (being the expert on your vision). This way you don't have to sound like the know-it-all that you are thinking you are. Deal?

I can see the wobble plain as day. The back of the ball turns into a wounded duck as soon as it hits him. I've been watching football for 35 years and rarely blame a loss on officials, but that game was beyond anything I've ever seen. It was horseshit from the Saints opening drive on.
