Sorry to see such an injury to a good and loyal Steeler such as Ike. Like other's I noticed his performance falling off but age has a way of doing that to you. In addition, Ike seemed to ALWAYs be assigned the toughest receiver. Our young guys really have to step up.

When I broke my arm and they put on a hard cast until I had surgery.
 
Hate to see Ike go down as well. Options are to possibly move Allen or Gay to RCB or we'll see more of McCain out there. I don't think we grab any free agents out there at this point. Time to see what we really got in the secondary.

Sweed was cut by the Ottawa Redblacks in April for sucking. If we need a player to suck, then we could bring him in.

Always liked Ike. As bad as he is with his hands, my fondest memory of Ike's playing time was his INTERCEPTION in XL.
 
Dejan raises a good point on his site. Gay moves outside and Shamarko comes in and plays the nickel. I think this is the approach for at least next week. Webb also has starting experience (if you consider the nickelback a starter). He probably gets a hat next week.

I don't remember seeing Webb on the field in PS. That doesn't make me feel good. Shaq needs to be working 24/7 to come up from the practice squad...

You wouldn't have seen him on the field for us since he was a priority pickup from Dallas after final cuts. Apparently he was a guy the Steelers wanted in last year's (?) draft and they snapped him up when he was released in the final cuts.
 
Why not just put Lake in again at CB? Worked real well last time.
 
I'm no doctor, but I think it all depends on how clean the break is. But there's a chance he can play in 4-6 weeks...

Not that soon. 10 weeks is more like it. Still enough season left for him to return.
