.....if you some how KNEW we would lose at New England if we beat Denver, would you choose to beat Denver and lose to the Pats or would you rather not have to suffer losing to the Pats again?

Obviously, there is no way to KNOW we would lose to NE, but if I could, I would choose the less painful route and lose to Denver and get a better draft pick.

That is partly why losing to Denver didn't hurt as much; I feel it's likely we lose to the Pats. If I believed we had a good shot of winning a ring, the loss to Denver would have hurt much worse. It just wasn't going to happen this season.

I don't think we could have won in NE. Maybe in the burg but not in NE.

AB would have been back and most likely, DeAngelo, too.
I feel we would have had a good shot at winning IN chowderheadville.

Will always choose to go down fighting. Would have loved a rematch against NE for a chance to go to the Super Bowl. This team fought hard this year even though they lost to ****** teams. We play good teams well. I think we could have been competitive against them. You never know what is going to happen on the field, that's why we watch every week. If Brown played, don't think NE could stop him and Bryant.

Well I think we had a good chance of beating them too, but that's not what the thread is asking. He's saying if we knew the future and it was inevitable that we would lose to New England, would we rather have just lost in Denver.

I guess if those are my choices, I'd take losing in Denver. The higher my hopes get for winning it all, the harder they fall. But to say I wouldn't want to lose to New England just because they're New England gives them too much power. Playoff losses suck regardless of who we lose to. They don't get any domain into how I feel about my team's wins or losses

OK, for the record, since we didn't have a time machine, we simply cannot know if we would win that game so, of course, I wanted to advance. But after seeing Pats demolish KC, I feel like odds are, we lose, if not from simply suffering from a coaching deficit, at the very least.

I would love to see the Steelers for another week. Marsha always gives us fits though. If we were to lose. I'm sure Marsha and hoodie would relish the thought of running up the score board. End result. Me throwing beer bottles at my tv

we match up better against New England now than in week 1. My guess is it would have been a great game.

easy answer you want to win as deep into the playoffs as possible

we don't live in our fears

:congratulatory:

If I'm going to answer this honestly... I have to go with losing to Broncos, I couldn't stand losing to the Patriots again in the AFCC game. That being said, if we see them next season.. We WILL win.

I will answer by first restating that in your scenario you KNOW we lose to those )%#$@ity #$@#$4ers in NE. If that were the case I'd rather lose to Denver.

I obviously would like the shot to beat marsha and his goon, and if we did lose to them I would take it much worse than last weeks lost.

I hate them. About as close to Raven hate as you can get.

The Cheats have a stupid good record at home. The Cheats have a stupid good record against us. They have owned us as long as Belicheat and Brady have been together. There is no way we win that game. I would rather lose to Denver. I hate The Cheating Bastiges From New England more than I hate the Ratbirds, or now, the Bungles.

Why? What's different about next year?

Given your choices, I would have much rather lost to the Patriots than the Broncos. It's another week of football and one week closer to a title. To break away from your scenario, I think the Steelers had a legit chance at winning with Brown back.

Screw that. We would have kicked the **** out of them in NE. In the snow. On a bus. In a boat. With a goat. Over here. Over there. We would have beat them, and if you disagree I don't care! Here we go Steelers 2016!

I'd rather win at Denver. If we lose at NE, I'd make sure they didn't win the Super Bowl. If they're in it, I'm going to find something else to do that Sunday evening. I think they beat the Cards but not so sure about the Panthers.

If we had Brown and DeAngelo back in a blizzard snowstorm in NE........I'd like our chances a lot

amen

Go Carolina....beat all these wannabe *******

With a healthy team we will beat the **** out of those chowder eating cheating pricks. Leave the radio off.All old school. say nothing in the locker room. create a lot of new looks and calls preparing a month out for just that game. they are not ****. put two guys smashing their te at the line and one guy smashing their next highest production wr....Get a PASS RUSH consistently. They won't stand a chance. Bunch of scrubs will fold like a deck of cards.

I would have taken the win vs Denver. It would have ranked very highly on the All-Time list and would have given the team big game experience, something many if the younger players lack.

IMO, with Brown back we had a good chance of going to NE and beating them.

IDK Tom, we have had better teams and still lost to the Patriots. I think the Steelers ******** pucker up when we have to play them. It's in their heads that they can't beat them.

Well that, plus they cheat in myriad ways especially at home.

AB is still in concussion protocols according to Tomlin today..

Take the win and move on to NE. "To be the man, you have to beat the man....WHOAA!!" - Ric Flair

Seriously, NE is banged up too. Why not take a crack at them?
