If the Steelers want to trade Bell, nine teams have over 15M in cap space

Maybe the front office doesn’t know. Three of the first four picks went to the offense in the draft.

Not one linebacker was drafted and they waited until round seven to pick a DT/NT

Durpee and Uncle Jay jay just don't have it.
Worilds, he's one that I feel if his heart was truly into football, he'd been something good.
Sadly, he got paid and retired

My take was that maybe the FO finally realized they suck at drafting defense so they will wait to see who gets cut in training camp by other teams.
Other Teams' Defense Castoffs > Steeler Defense Draft Picks

Or maybe they went with the value there, and the best available in regards to value VS need.

I say put in another third down back and you'll get a higher YPC, and maybe one or two less big play catches a season. Okay maybe Bell makes 2-3 nice blocks for Ben a season. Is that the impact you are talking about?

Bell isn't a top WR, and would fail miserable betting NFL CB's. With Brown, Ju-ju, Washington And an improving McDonald, any third down back with speed, something Bell doesn't really have and some hands will do. That person could be Samuels who costs about .5 million on the cap, vs Bell franchise tag about of 14.5.

The answer to that question will be known 1-3 years from now. There were some good linebackers and DT's on the board. We reached for a project offensive tackle.

Will Chukwuma Okorafor, who won't beat out either tackle we have unless and injury hits prove to be better than the below players picked shortly after him that play a positon of greater need?

DT Phillips
LB O'Daniel
LB Joswell
LB Iyiegbuniwe

We did not need a back up OT to advance in the playoffs, we need a better starter at ILB or DT.

Not at 7.7 yards a catch and just two receiving touch downs. I can name many backs who are better then him catching the football and scoring with it once they catch it.

I think people are confusing quantity with quality. Bell despite catching a lot of dump off passes is about 15% of our passing yardage in 2017

I hope steeper fans greet Bell with an extended chorus of boo's and a few **** you"s every time he touches the ball. His me first philosophy will no doubt plant the seeds of discontent and needless distraction which will surely ruin what could have been our best season in a long time. I hope the o-line lays back a few plays so a DE can bust his chops real good a few plays. He deserves it. He need knocked off his high horse so maybe to realize he's no better than the guys right in front of him allows him to be. The Steelers can replace him with one draft pick and I hope ownership has told him so. As a steeler he'll only be remembered as a selfish ******* that was to stupid to sign a perfectly fair contract which would have enabled to go down as the second best back in steeler history. He is of low character, no class, and has a mega overblown opinion of his value to the team. Just look at the money he said was not enough to satisfy his over blown ego. I say screw him and his attitude. Hopefully he'll tear an ACL, MCL, and UCL the first game and never play football again. That 70 mil contract would have looked mighty fine in hindsight. GO TO HELL LAVEON BELL!!!!

How about receiving first downs? Which is the primary role of the RB pass receiver. But that wouldn’t prove your opinion would it?

I don't like his attitude, and wish they would trade him (knowing it won't happen), but come on, that's a bit extreme.
