I would be out of work for a week. Not even kidding. I cannot imagine what is going through the heads of Seahawk fans tonight. Seriously though, if the Steelers had a Lynch type player and Ben threw a pick from the one yard line like that, this board would literally explode.
 
I thought it was bad when Mendenhall fumbled when the Steelers had all of the momentum and you could feel a comeback coming on. That doesn't even compare. Probably the most brutal loss in a championship game that I have ever seen. You have one of the best power backs in probably the history of the league. You run him four straight times if you need to because at least if you don't score, you know you did so by going to your best option. The members of the Seahawks organization have to be absolutely sick and will never live this game down.
 
And they'd have every right too. That's on the coaches. Horrible play call.
 
I'm not really over the loss to the Packers yet...
 
In my opinion they were trying to move Russell Wilson forward as the face of this franchise and give him legendary status throwing the game winning TD with seconds left in the Super Bowl. It was a big miscalculation. That is a BIG BIG mistake. Wow.
 
Haley makes that same call with same results,,, there would be burning furniture on the streets of dormont, S. Side, Oakland,, etc.
 
Ben would hand off and Bell would've scored. 3 runs from the 1/2 yard line the chances of scoring are probably around 90%. Dumbest call I've ever seen in the clutch.

If there is one fanbase in the NFL who is completely deserving of suffering through this debacle, it is the very one it just happened to. That's one of the only bright spots to this mess. The other is that their handful of cocky, loudmouth, ******** players have to suffer through it too.
 
It is even worse than the Clowns call of Red Right 88 vs the Raiders in the AFCCG with victory all but a FG away.

This is without question the worst play call in NFL History!

There is discussion whether Carroll or their OC Bevell called this play and Carroll took the blame in the post game however....IMO that playcall was all Bevell because Carroll said they didn't have the right package on the field to run the football there....that IMO meant that Bevell was calling for the pass play since that package was substituted in after Lynch's 4yd run inside the 1yd line.

IMO Bevell made the worst call in NFL History!

A more experienced QB IMHO would have audibled out of that play but Wilson only being a 3rd year guy didn't.

Two weeks ago I said I'm glad I'm not a Packers fan....tonight I'm saying I'm glad I'm not a Seahawks fan...that was absolutely without question the dumbest playcall in NFL History when you have all the momentum and one of if not the best RB in the game with victory only 1 yd away and you don't give him the football.
 
My play progression would have been squeeze play followed by a pick & roll alley oop to Julius Erving. If neither of those worked, I would have served an ace on 4th down. None of those plays would have been as stupid as throwing.
 
Something very weird about this playoffs

Detroit should have beat Dallas. Tore their hearts out.
Dallas should have beat Green Bay
Green Bay should have beat Seattle
Seattle had the game vs. New England

It's like God only allowed for one cheap win and then fixed it the next game. Weird

Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible play call. Not only do they have one of the best RBs, but they have a great running QB too! Why the **** are you throwing the ball? Especially when the Hoodie wasn't using his timeouts!? I think everyone just remembered why Pete Carroll got his *** booted from the league the first time.
 
They did the same thing in the third quarter. Had the ball down by the goalline but instead of running beast mode out of the I formation they went shotgun. Settled for a field goal then and it cost them the game at the end. If you wanna throw it, fine. Play action off your run threat and get Wilson on the move with options. Stupid seachickens!

Seattle def chocked that game away.


I think that was a legit game too, no cheating. Formations were monitored as well as balls.


Moving forward there should be a firm to check the pressure of game balls then release them to teams game time.
 
Finally the Seahawks fans have something to whine about more than the Steelers SB.
 
I can't believe that play call. I mean Carroll proved he had balls at the end of the 2nd quarter when he went for the TD. Then the karma gods smiled down again with that ABSURD catch by Kearse....the Seahawks HAD that game in the bag.
 
That call was not who the Seahawks have been the last couple of years...if you are gonna fail.....fail doing what you do..
 
I would be inconsolable for a month if it were 15 years ago...haha. Not these days. I think the playoffs are well orchestrated bullshit with some cool things that happen in between. The so called legion of boom...cough cough greatest ever ( not even good at arm tackling) got dink & dunked to death. I've never seen so many little guys get so many extra yards.It was comical. My grandma could get extra yards after the catch on that bunch. The overall football product is crap.
 
Our great defenses back when we won our Super Bowls used to get dinked and dunked to death by Brady too. It's hard to defend because they are actually doing everything right: keep things in front of them, force 3rd downs, make the offense make 10 plays in a row without a penalty or mistake...

Brady is the best ever at dink and dunk. Unlike most qbs (Ben), he doesn't get frustrated by playing that way, and will stick with it all game long if necessary.
 
Hand off to Lynch or a naked bootleg or the QB sneak. They had time and a timeout left. To run 2 or possibly a 3rd play on 4th down. Stupid, stupid, stupid. When the Seahawks fans watch the replay, they will be even more pissed because it was obvious pass interference. You can go for the ball but the defender can't go through the receiver to get to the ball. The defender plowed the WR over and then made the pick. Text book PI.
