If Rudolph isn't the guy.......

To expand on your point, he has 3 less TDs (and 7 less INTS) than the passing leader in the NFL. He's completing 65% of his passes at 6.6 YPA (not a great YPA) but he's quietly getting just enough done & without much help w/ his WRs dropping passes left and right.

And he's got a helluva lot better passer rating and stat line than that douchebag in Cleveland who acts like he's the second coming. Completion %? Check. More TDs? Check. Less INTs? Big Check. Passer rating? Check. Baker has him by a whopping .5% YPA, that's it. And that's with a potent running attack and some star WRs.

**** Baker Mayfield and again, **** the Browns.

Your stats are not right, Russell Wilson has 22 TD passes and Rudolph has 11 and Wilson is playing tonight and probably will add to the totals,

The passing leader (yards) at the time of my post was Philip Rivers.

Not really a good stat kind of arbitrary at best. Wilson now has 23 TD passes and counting, Rudolph is not in the same league with the league leaders but to pick a strugging Riwers as the QB to compare Rudolph to is disingenuous at best.

I m old. I have seen a lot of Steeler QBS. Mason could go down s the 3rd best of all of them.

You know what's actually disingenuous? A closet Cheats fan with three posts (but multiple monikers) who just signed on to the board as a Steelers fan.

You're going to get flushed soon, turd.

Wow you need some help little man. Get out of your mommas basement and see the real world out there , it would do you some good, being dumb and disingenuous is a badge of honor to **** like you.

Lmao, you're so damn predictable it didn't even take you 10 posts this time.

Way to make your dumb *** known again so quickly.

What do these journeymen and bums have in common with Rudolph?

Keenum, Marritta, Bridgewater, Trubisky, Tanneyhill, Matt Moore and Fitzpatrick

They are the only players to start and average less than 200 yards passing per game. Much more relevant and telling than YOU randomly picking ONE QB to compare him to . Wonder why ?

You seem to know a lot about dumbasses, must be the quality of trash you keep.

YPA counts YAC yards and isn't an indicator of how far the ball was thrown. You can go to Next Gen stats and you'll see that only Rosen in Miami has a lower average completed air yards. Stafford leads the league with 8.3 while Rudolph has a 4.3. That's a 4 yard per throw difference. Even Jackson is throwing it at a 6.7 clip.
But it obviously isnpart of the offensive game plan, that's like blaming a batter that was ordered to bunt every time he goes to bat

This is the thing I dislike the most about him. He has stone feet. He drops back and. .....that’s it. No movement, no flow for what the pocket gives you. I think a lot of his sacks and other negative plays could be avoided with some slight movement up in the pocket. Maybe that comes in time? Donno. Seems that is a trait. Still. Rook for all it’s worth. He is what we got. Let’s rolls
I do remember him avoiding sacks moving in the pocket like a Ben lite version before the crushing hit by the ratbird. Clearly remember a red zone TD where he escaped a collapsing pocket towards his left and found an open receiver just in time before getting hit.

By the way he takes a lot of hits by waiting til the last second to make the pass. Donald play some wack-a-rudolph last Sunday

I was chatting with my son last night about baseball going full auto-ump. I really hate the idea for baseball because you take an amazing element out of the game by removing a human umpire. If you don't know what it is, watch the entire clip (NSFW):

I never said it wasn't part of the game plan. I said that YAC is a bad stat to use when you're talking about a QB throwing down the field. Because it counts YAC the ball can be in the air 1 yard and the RB run it 50 yards and it counts as a 50 yard pass. That's why I use CAY.

Out of curiosity what was lamar jackson’s yards per game in his seven starts last year? Or you know virtually any first time starter? Most are under 200 yards cause coaches are paranoid and conservative with young starters...

Also saying he is under 200 yards per game isn’t really factoring in that he only played 1/2 vs the seahawks and ravens... 1330 yards divided by 7 is 190, but if you look at his average per half 1300 divided by 12 full halves is 216.yards per game..

His arm is better than people give him credit for. He's smart and well prepared. He takes what the opposing D is offering and doesn't make too many mistakes.

WTF else can we ask for at this point.
Agreed, MR gets criticized for throwing “intermediate passes”. The QB for the Cheats has made a career off “intermediate passes” and oh BTW, Mason Rudolph has no problem launching deep into one on one coverage either.

Just because people aren't calling him the next franchise QB, that doesn't mean they are saying he sucks. Saying he isn't Ben, that's not saying he sucks either. He's not Ben 2.0, he's more Neil Odonnell.

I see more AJ McCarron...elite college QB that is having some difficulty transitioning into the NFL.

I fully agree w/ your assessment otherwise!

i heard Colin Kaepernick is available

NFL is putting on a workout* for him in Atlanta this week. All teams are invited to attend. It will be interesting to see how many actually attend.

*I assume this is the NFL going through the motions agreed upon in the settlement with him.

I could see the Bengals picking him up, they got nothing to lose! lol

And i can hear him now....

AB " **** the NFL, I been blackballed too! I demand a private workout with all 32 teams! "

They currently hold the number one overall pick. I can't imagine they would do anything to jeopardize that at this point.

AB isn't quite that articulate. You may have to reword thinga a bit.
