We are on different sides here. I think it's pretty corny and probably, to an extent, distracting to the team. Give me an owner like Jeffrey Lurie who understands the impact of the Eagles' on the Philadelphia community while also having the willingness to make the tough business decisions to have a highly competitive football team. We don't see him on the sidelines with a headset on.
"It was maximizing the roster and realizing when you had some descending players what you needed to do, either to get market value or plan around [their departures]," Lurie said. "These are all potentially unpopular decisions. So, for me, really, philosophically, I believe you do what you think correlates with winning big -- and not what's popular."
