If only we had an owner like this

if this franchise was ran like a business, we would have traded TJ and Pickens to the Cowboys this off-season for Parsons and a 3rd. Essentially gotten a carbon copy of TJ and gotten younger. We already had the trade window open with the Cowboys and Parsons was openly saying he didnt want to play for them. Time was ripe to move on from TJ... as blasphemous as it sounds and is. ****, should have thrown Cam and a buffet line in the deal, too.
It is ran like a business but the business is a mom and pop shop.

It's almost as if they believe they have to follow as if it's some axiom they are bound to the : " Three head coaches since 1969...blah...blah..." As if that is some virtue.....LOL

NO! You hit on two then you struck out...deal with it and move on. Funny how they talk about how hard it is to find a franchise QB then think they hit on 3 great coaches in a row like that is somehow different.

Yeah...you need to face reality as an organization and move on.

Tomlin would have been fine if his ego allowed him to hire competent assistants and let them do their jobs. He thinks there is only one way to win and his philosophy is a wet blanket over the entire team.

My point was Jerry cares about winning more than anything. Rooneys haven't cared in over a decade.
Sorry, big Ben but your point is not well taken. Screw Jerry Jones and the donkey he rode in on.
Texas can keep them down there where he belongs.
Do you know where everything is bigger especially Jerry’s ego.

You really like the idea of a team owner on the sideline with a headset on? Stay up in the owner's box and let the coaching staff do their jobs.
I like the idea of having someone the coach can't lie to and easily throw the players under the bus for their failures. That way the incompetence is exposed and the owner can be proactive in fixing what needs fixing.

You need to be on the sideline and in the facility to hear what is what between head coach, coordinators, and players. Just observe, learn, but don't meddle. You take on big changes when they are needed...or you can be a sleepy potato like Artie and enjoy non losing seasons that will never go anywhere ,but it always seems like it's just around the corner... and that's because you don't even know what the block looks like.

Artie finally talks to Mike

We are on different sides here. I think it's pretty corny and probably, to an extent, distracting to the team. Give me an owner like Jeffrey Lurie who understands the impact of the Eagles' on the Philadelphia community while also having the willingness to make the tough business decisions to have a highly competitive football team. We don't see him on the sidelines with a headset on.

"It was maximizing the roster and realizing when you had some descending players what you needed to do, either to get market value or plan around [their departures]," Lurie said. "These are all potentially unpopular decisions. So, for me, really, philosophically, I believe you do what you think correlates with winning big -- and not what's popular."

I see your side, and people do things differently there doesn't have to be one size fits all solutions here. The reason I like what she does is because the stories going around of how much has been left for Tomlin to have responsibility of doesn't paint a pretty picture of Art. Sounds like it's just a cash cow and he does and cares as little as he has to...now mind you when things get hot with the fans he plays lip service to certain things:

" We've got to focus more on running the ball. "

"We've had enough of this. "It's time to get some wins; it's time to take these next steps."( talking about making the playoffs)

Really Art??? Have you had enough?

Maybe he needs a headset...because this is how out of touch he is:

"So, still feel good about Mike. Obviously if I didn't, [we] would make a change, but if we didn't think Mike was able to lead us to a championship, he wouldn't be here, and that's why he is here."----2024

That sounds like Art's version of unleashing hell.....God help us.

Art 2 is still above average as an owner

Compared to his dad, he is trash, but his dad was one of the all time greatest owners in all of american sports

Id take him over the Jerry Jones and Haslams of tge world... or over Scummy Stan Kroenke.. the list of truely ****** owners is rather long

Dan treated his players like family. The stories of his relationship from the players through the years as an owner is incredible
