What is the proper course of action? Do you put yourself in salary cap hell for Kirk Cousins, who is pretty much Andy Dalton, a guy you can win some games with, but probably not championship caliber. Or do you draft a qb in the first round, and try to muddle by for a year or two while the young guy sits like Aaron Rodgers did under Favre, while someone like Sam Bradford, who wouldn't break our bank, tries to keep us together short term?

Landry is not an acceptable option!

2nd option. We would be fools to commit big money to jokers like cousins. Find a reasonably dependable vet to come in on a team-friendly deal and give our future franchise guy a year or two to develop and hone his craft at the pro level

Put Dobbs at the helm and go for a Top 5 pick or pick up a Tyrod Taylor Band-Aid-type until Ben 2.0 is available/ready. I wouldn't break the bank on Cousins. He's decent, but not so sure worth $15+M/yr plus the signing bonus to get him here.

Dan Marino! He can throw it with the best of em!

Should of went after Blake Bortels in the off-season when his value was low...

I kept tellin yinz!!

SteelerScotty, if you don't like how he's doing in the pre-season, just go in and up his numbers. Speed, Agility, Precision, IQ, Toughness.

Boom. Ben 2.0 No muss, no fuss, no bother.

Yes--Im serious.

This year:

59% comp.
2100 yds.
12 Td - 7 INT
90 QBR

Stop gap until we can acquire the new Ben..
If were lucky he will actually get better throwing to Ab - Ju Ju and with Bell in the back field.

Would definitely keep us "relevant" as we transition.

I wouldn't mind the Blake Bortles route for short term. What I definitely DON'T want to do is reach in the first for a QB who's not worth the spot.

Rather start Landry Legend

trade Laundry to Denver for either Simien or Lynch.
boom.

Lynch is intriguing, and it seems like his future isn't in Denver.

We're already going to be way over the cap next year. It's going to be Landry Jones if Ben retires.

Championship!!!

Seriously if Ben retires we get cap relief, there would be money for a FA patch at QB but I prefer to be a ****** team with Landry falco and draft top talent next season

Not sure where the narrative that we get cap relief comes from.. retiring does not offer cap relief.
