Tomlin is lucky because of the teams he's played. He's played 7 games against new HCs and their staffs. He's played against a lot of rookie and backup QBs. He's played 3 games against winless teams. The Steelers have had talent for years. I've said since Ben went down that this schedule wasn't going to kill them. After they got through the few tough games they had there was no one left but a bunch of new coaches and young QBs.
Look at the Bills. Rookie coach with a rookie QB. They are 9-3 with a better offense and higher ranked defense. But they've played a crap schedule as well. I'm not sure they've beat a winning team outside of the Titans.
Tomlin's done a decent job but the bar is high. He has a defense filled with #1 draft picks and traded for someone else's #1 draft pick. They should make the playoffs. The Jets are horrible. The Bills can't score. And the rats will probably be resting their starters by then.
Sean McDermott has been with the Bills since 2017. This is Josh Allen's 2nd season.
