I still want Bryant back

I'd love Bryant to come back and regain his big-play form, but from what we've seen so far, I am not holding my breath. He doesn't have the same breakaway speed that he once had. Maybe that was a product of bulking up or maybe it was a failure to stay in shape during his suspension.

Whats funny though is Bryant saying he wants more involvement but he’s only behind AB and Bell for number of targets on this football team.
They need to stop using him on these 5 yard slants and utilize his speed on deeper routes.

Correction - STOP USING HIM ON JET SWEEPS.

A-N-D a side benefit would be he would have more JET speed for longer routes.........

He has lost a step for some reason................

He took the wrong approach with his workouts.

If he would have went to Shaw in Orlando we wouldn't even be having a Bryant discussion.

He tried to use the build muscle up approach ignoring his burst.

Probably thought he didn't need to work on it due to prior success.

But a year off, you need to work on everything and the kitchen sink.

I predict Bryant is out of the NFL within 2 years. For his sake I hope I'm wrong.

DHB, Rodgers and Hunter all dropped passes. A couple of them were gimme passes, especially Rodgers in the end zone. However, I'm not confident that Bryant would have made those catches either. He's had quite a few catchable passes that he just didn't come down with. I'm glad he's back, and I'm glad the Steelers are finding out now what they do/don't have in 10.

Man just buckle down. Drown out everything that isn't positive. Everything else will take care of itself. That's what i wish he'd do. Focus on the number one goal in whatever manner afforded to you.

Of course we want Bryant back and back to his old form, if not better. AB and JuJu are now No. 1 and No. 2 with Bryant being No. 3. Those 3, at or near top form would be the best WR trio in the league. Sprinkle in some Jesse and a few screens each game to Bell to go along with Bell's running and you have a very good offense. Let's hope they get to that point heading into the playoffs.

Sources say Steelers indicated to Martavis Bryant he's part of Week 10 game plan, which would reinforce their public stance not to trade him. Perhaps they get blown away by offer but a move doesn't seem likely.

Someone on that team has to get through to this kid. I'm sure the coaches have tried but he isn't taking their advice.

We've all seen this before, every team in the league has seen this before. Million dollar talent coupled with a $2 head.

This kid misses games 2 years ago due to suspension. Then misses an entire season due to his own choices. Then comes back and thinks someone owes him something???? He owes his teammates. He should be busting his *** every week to prove himself to them, to make up for his own past behavior. Instead, he wants to be the selfish distraction? And that window of opportunity is closing, young man. You want that big payday that you see your teammates with? Go earn it! AB didn't get his deal based upon his potential, he got it based upon his consistent work. Same with all those guys. Go earn it.

I'd like to think Ben, or maybe even Harrison, could snatch this kid by the collar and let him know he is important to this TEAM and those guys are out there giving it their best when they are old enough and secure enough to retire. He can help himself and help them maybe get another ring. What is it going to take for this kid?

After the win over the Lions, head coach Mike Tomlin was asked during his post-game press conference to disclose what went into his decision to make Bryant inactive Sunday night.

“I outlined that pretty crystal clear on Tuesday and I’m done talking about it, I am,” said Tomlin.

Tomlin was almost immediately asked if he’s confident that Bryant will be able to help the team down the stretch.

“I’m not,” Tomlin said. “We’ll see.”

Tomlin is the "King of Head Games." That was a not so subtle challenge to Martavis, not unlike Ben challenging him at the end of 2015. He came up big. Hopefully he does it again.

OF COURSE he's back - WE OWN HIS ***!

What? You believed these hicks that guaranteed he would be TRADED????

hahahahahahahahahaha

Wanting him back meant vintage 2015. That’s what was intended. Not languishing on the bench not part of the game plan or traded for some insignificant draft pick. This football team needs his abilities.

Sorry - with 47 different BRYANT threads it's hard to follow anything on this board anymore

No worries Spike. I have a proposal to the admins of our site. To curb the ah enthusiasm of posters such as ‘Coach’ maybe we can limit the number of new threads by a poster per day. Just an idea!
