Ok. I'm an owner. I don't want him because he's a USA sized distraction for my team. But I'm tired of the bullshit being said about me being a racist commie-hater (or whatever). All the whiner-babies (Credit Bruce Campbell) say that Kaepernick is a super-talented bordering on top tier QB who deserves to be in the NFL.

Ok.

I call him in and say, "Colon, I mean Colin - I want to sign you. Right here, right on the spot. I'm in a pickle and I need a super-talented bordering on top tier QB who deserves to be in the NFL on my roster right now. I'm told that's YOU!

So here's what I'm gonna give you to sign today!

We can make your contract as big as you want it for this season. Big as you want. Shoot the moon buddy. You just write a number on a piece of paper.

What we're gonna do, since you (as I've been told) are a super-talented bordering on top tier QB who deserves to be in the NFL is this.

We're going to add some "verbiage". No no. Don't worry about your personal beliefs. Believe me I was young once. The wife burned her bra at woodstock. Best 6 days of my life. Just fyi Colin, As they get older, they realize they want those bras... even after you've paid for the "work". Know what I'm sayin'. They always want the burned bras back. But I digress. I'm not putting in any verbiage about your kneeling or laying down or playing air guitar or whatever. You just do your thing son.

No, what we're gonna do is this.

You'll be required to complete 70% of your passes or better each and every game. You'll also be required to throw 25 times a game and gain at least 250 yards in the air each and every game.
You'll of course have to be on top of your TD to INT ratio, again, every game...

But that's not a problem. Because you're a super-talented bordering on top tier QB who deserves to be in the NFL.

So. Every week you do that. I'm going to pay you your weekly salary based on whatever number you put on that piece of paper. That's binding Colin. 16 games. And the post-season if we get there. I'm not unreasonable. I'm not going to force you to bail out a defense or a poor running game. No "wins" required. But we can put in some win bonus verbiage for those games you make your incentives of course.

Now... For every game win or lose, mind you... That you fail to hit all your incentives. I want to be clear on "all" You're an "all or nothin' kind of guy so you get that, right Colin? If you fail to hit all your incentives, then you will write ME a check from YOUR personal account again based on the number you're about to write down on that piece of paper. And let's be clear here Colin. This is binding. I'm not gonna back out on you and cut you mid-season cause I'm getting heat from my fan base. Oh No! I'm riding this out so together we can remind the league that you're even MORE than a super-talented bordering on top tier QB who deserves to be in the NFL.

Of course that means you'll be sticking with ME too. So you know, injury, the inconceivable possibility that you couldn't beat out that kid we signed from Montana for the starting spot... That won't change the fact that if you don't hit your incentives in games each week - well Hey, it's not going to come to that.

Go ahead. Write down a number and let's get out there on the field!

Considering your "solution" is completely absurd, I have to presume that this post simply exists as yet another outlet to dump on your arch nemesis. Why? Why not put this in the dozens of other topics where all the other like-minded posters are saying similar things?

It would have been hilarious if someone would have or still does pick him up, even if they cut him at the end of the season. That would make him have to drop his case against the NFL for "collusion". The dude and his attorneys damn well better have to pay for all the court costs for this charade. I know if I was one of the owners being dragged into it, I'd counter-sue his sorry ***.

Aggie, I'm offering a contract.

What? :trolls:

(For the record Aggie, I am in the camp that believes the owners own the team and can sign or not sign whomever they choose for whatever reason they choose and no amount of Yahoo whiner-baby articles can really change the fact that even football is just an outdoor office for a big company.)

And Cope, if I could like it twice, I would. That's a great idea from top to bottom.

The best part is that he meets with the group both before and after get-together. Putting them together for an extended period of time give a much better opportunity for everyone to really spend some time together and talk to one another one on one. Better yet, he's doing it with very small groups so they can't simply join together with their comfortable peers.

It's perfect. THIS is a well thought out "protest" if you will.

Subban is a man. He gets it. Not in it for himself.

Hope he is a fan favorite in the entire NHL.

Mediocre talent that hasn't played in how long?

No team is going to sign this cat he is done.

good riddance.

Colin came a great hair cut smile
Drop back to pass run country mile
Riding the wave a classical song
Winning with 49ers moving along
Turmoil in team can Johnny coach
Kapernick down with no approach
Bid his time nearing the end
Kappie gets that hot girlfriend
Pleases and jumps to da hoop
Makes accusation out of the loop
Holds out thumb pointing at me me me
Stupid **** takes a knee
Not thinking while making this mess
Protesting the black man oh oppressed
Many thought and jump the gun
My dad died a hero and so did my son
Colin loses no one morns
OUR FLAG is great new or worn
Protest all you want even in flirtation
But Remeber the core of this great NATION

Kapernick just USED the wrong venue and to that degree his PROTEST topic has been forgotten. More people ar worried about how the NFL handled it than what the actual protest was about.

i'd love to see Kap on a witness stand and the NFL calls on a coach to question him. Run some tape, stop it and ask him what coverage the defense is in. Then ask him what his read should be.

Then show film of him in SF with guys open and he doesn't see them.

It's not about plays he makes. It's about all the ones he doesn't make because he doesn't see it. Many times Kap will hold the ball and scramble the complete a pass for a modest gain. Everybody thinks he made a good play unless you look at the coach's film and see that his second read was wide open and he didn't see it.

That's why Kap has no job.

The issue with collusion is he has to show tge owners are binding together to keep him out... when no one else is getting the same treatment for doing tge same things and he has multiple tryouts where he underperformed.. at some point Seattle and Baltimore will have to testify why they opted not to sign him... and trust me, a good QB could probably murder someone on the field and still get a job... its going to be hard to context his performance against the negatives of pr and say that the league is acting together to harm him rather than he just isn't a good business decision at this time...

The official word of 2017 is “Collusion”.

secret agreement or cooperation especially for an illegal or deceitful purpose acting in collusion with the enemy

Everyone is doing it! Get on board and collude with me!

Colin's court battle may become more political than criminal. If he can get the swing in prejudice going combined with the oppressed sentiment, he may get some sympathy jurors to actually side his way. Of course the NFL lawyers will be countering that at every stage but what matters is jury sentiment, right or wrong. NOW his playing ability may turn downward the tide but sentiment is a very strong faction and if he can obtain it and hold onto it he may make a run for satisfaction in a settlement. I don't give him a chance in h@ll to win but stranger things have happened.......................JUST watch a Troy Palamolo interception against the Colts and you will see stranger things.......................
