I didn't know they changed the Cut down rules

They said after the game. that they don't have to make cuts, until after the 4th preseason game. when was this passed in the off season.

They have been talking about it, I think it was recently passed.

And I like it. Your starters don't have to be force fed into the equation and it gives the bubble players a little more time to be convincing.

Makes it harder for the marginal players to get picked up by another team. Teams could gamble with a possible upgrade before the season but after the 4th PS game, rosters are pretty much set 'till an injury happens. Not a great big deal but it could effect a couple players along the way.

At least the teams get a longer look now before they make a decision on those last few slots.

I thin k the benefits of the no 75 cut rule far out weight a few missed jobs. I think it gives team a lot longer to evaluate. I understand what you are saying SteelChip but how many boarder line talents were CUT but would have stuck if just another couple weeks developement. TWO sided coin in my eyes.

AYERS might be a great example as he is missing a week or two then will try to win a spot........

Was enacted durring the OFF season and this is the first time it applys. I'm pretty sure but have been wrong before............ BUT not about my passion of the STEELERS, never wrong on that !!!!!!!
