I build my own bye next week

Ben sits. Watt sits. Heyward sits. Anyone banged up. You will be a two or a three.no difference.

Fitzpatrick and haden sit. Pouncey plays a few drives and sits.

I’d bring the entire practice squad up. Give McFarland 20 carries for 8 yards.

Not sure how that works MDK. You can't just bring the practice squad up unfortunately. Anyone who gets a place on active needs a space created. Outide of Ben who you can make inactive for Dobbs the other guys will dress and only play if the backup is injured you might be able to make another player or two inactive. If Buggs was inactive. So Heyward could be inactive and Buggs gets a hat

Add Johnson, Connor, and Tuitt to that list as well. Would like to Dobbs get some playing time to see what we are working with behind Ben. At this point we know what we have in Rudolph.

I know they all can’t sit, there isn’t enough players for that. I’d play as many backups as possible.

Shouldn't ben get at least a couple of series to keep in sync with his WRs?

Edit: I just saw that the browns haven't clinched a playoffs spot yet, they will throw everything they have at us.

I disagree virtually nothing to play for. You gotta get healthy.

I know there are no fans but our all pass no run offense isnt well suited for Buffalo in January, there is a lot of value in playing the Bill's at home in round 2. Even if the Bill's win tonight they play Miami next week and Miami has to win to get in.

I say play the starters at least a half and see what the scoreboard says at the half
..work on the run game and the throwing down the field

Play the starters the first half then phase them out of the game.

these guys just got on the same page in the second half of the 3rd quarter. you've got to play them at least a half, as Heinz pointed suggested.
had they not been ******* the football the past few weeks, i'd have zero problem with phantom injuries occurring.

Tell me once even once in the last 6 or maybe seven games where they looked on the same page in the first half. There is a FAR greater chance they will look exactly as they did yesterday, the week before that and the two weeks before that. Then what do you build on. Plus if we are going to worry about whether we play in Buffalo in the second round, how about we win a ****** playoff game first.

Yup, if the goal is a championship this team hasnt played a game at a championship level in a long time, they need the reps especially on offense

I think your best chance is to get Ben as healthy as you can and once you pull him you are changing every dynamic of what you are talking about. And like I said I have no faith they would play a good half against the Browns with their back against the wall.

Mason is our #2 so he would get the start.

I would sit Watt, Heyward, Fitzpatrick, Haden, and Ben. I would look at pulling others back as the game goes on. Part of it would be to get a look at if Rudolph has developed. I think he had less than 5 snaps this year. Ben and Watt would be the only ones in streets.

Play it like pre-season game #3, starters for a quarter if they play well, otherwise until halftime and then put all 2nd and 3rd team players where possible. I know guys like Williamson and Allen probably have to play the whole game because of depth. But anyplace there is depth after the 2nd quarter the starters are cheer leaders.

Yeah, it’s an age old problem. Colts use to deal with it every year. The big difference for me is the fact that the team hasn’t had an actual bye since early this year. If fatigue is indeed a problem, I gamble and try to give it to as many as I can now. It’s one of those situations where you won’t know if it was the right decision until it’s too late.

I think the benefits of the downtime far outweigh the risk of losing sync in this case for the point you mention on fatigue. Ben and few other guys resting on Sunday does not mean they won't practice. Heck, have a couple upbeat no-contact pracctices to keep the body lose and the mind focuses.
