I believe Ben is the MVP of the league this season..

Even if we make it to the super bowl and ben plays great.....it all comes down to if brown has a decent game.....brown might win the mvp then........

We all know this team is nothing without Ben.

Ben is not black. Therefore he cannot be MVP. Speculation over!

I want the Steelers to win the SB

nothing else matters without that..........

What the hell...?

The MVP is almost exclusively a white QB award, so that's a bizzarre statement.

Anyway...

Cam is 2nd overall in passing TDs, behind only Brady

Cam is 6th overall in passer rating

Cam is 1st overall in total touchdowns with 40, 1 more than Brady

Cam 1st overall in rushing touchdowns by QBs

And he has done this with Ted Ginn as his primary receiver.

And yes, he is the PRIMARY reason the team is 14-0. Yes that defense is good, but so are Denver Seattle and Houston. Looking at the Giants game, the defense imploded but it was Cam who stepped up to win the day and preserve the perfect record.

Cam Newton is MVP of the NFL and I defy you to name a PREVIOUS MVP who was more deserving.

Fun fact. If Cam goes undefeated and wins the SB and SB MVP he will have won EVERY prestigious award in football.

All American

All Pro

Undefeated College Season

Undefeated Pro Season

National Champion

Superbowl

Heisman Trophy

League MVP

Superbowl MVP

I wonder: in the history of football (with the obvious exception of going undefeated as a pro), has any one player ever accomplished all these feats?

Cam is middle of the pack in passing yards. He won't sniff the SB and has beaten two teams that a Brady or Roethlisberger led team would have any trouble with. And he caught them both at low points.

Passing yardage is not an important stat. Winning percentage, passing efficiency and TD production. Those things matter. Simply moving the ball between the 20s accomplishes nothing on it's own. Brees threw for 5k and MISSED THE PLAYOFFS. Twice.

And Ben lost to the Ravens, the 4-10 Ravens. He also imploded against Cincy AND Denver with senseless picks at the sideline.

Didn't lose to the Ravens. Beat the Bengals and was player of the game against the Broncos. When Cam wins a playoff game this season PM me. To me he is just another example of how showboat in against **** teams gets you a whole lot of press. He isn't even the second best QB in his conference. Both Palmer and Wilson had better seasons against far better competition.

First- Ben was not the player of the game last night. That last INT could have been disastrous.

Second- Cam is by far the best player on the best team in the NFL. He is also doing it with the worst caliber of offensive weapons in the entire NFL. Its not exactly rocket science here.

I like Ben as much as the next guy, but to proclaim him MVP is ludicrous. When the guy goes 3 games without a stupid interception, PM me.

Cam Newton, I am ok if he wins the MVP, and ok if he doesn't. Not really that big of a deal. If Ben wins the Lombardi, I think all Steelers fans will be fine that he isn't the NFL MVP.

Well he was chosen as the player of the game. I didn't make that up. By the way Jericho Cotchery is an exellent receiver as is Olson. But we are going to consider the fact that he lacks weapons but not that Newton has played two teams with a winning record all season. Two teams. It's like if the Steelers played a team like the Colts from three weeks ago. ALL SEASON.

Want to be clear again. Ben isn't MVP. Can't win that missing a 1/4 but unless you are Dion Sanders slobbering all over C Aaaaams junk I don't see how you could say he is. He is 800 yards and like 6 o7 percentage points behind Palmer. I ll even anti this up. Roethlisberger and the Steelers would go lay a beat down on the Panthers right now. In Carolina.

Cam has played a pretty easy schedule. 14-0 is impressive but he has 9 games under 60% completion. He has 4 games at 50% or below. He's at 58.8% completion on the season. That is 30th. Cam is averaging 243 yards per game.

Ben is completing 67.9% on the season. Ben is averaging 337 per game. Over 16 games, that is a pace for 5390 yards. He's done this against NE, Cin x 2, StL, Sea, and Denver.

Cam is having a great year but Ben is better and has to do a lot more to win games than Cam.

Boom. Somebody who doesn't listen to the hype machine. Only part I differ with was the pretty easy part. It was about the easiest of all time. Even last year's Steelers schedule included the four games against the Ravens & Bengals. Colts were a big contender too.

Eh who cares, the only award that matters is the Lombardi and if, somehow, the Steelers end up on the podium holding up the trophy in the confetti, who will really care who the MVP of the league was? Not me that's for sure, I'll be too busy changing anything that states 6 time Super Bowl champs to "7 Time Super Bowl Champs" :logo2:

18 TD passes and 13 INTs with a loaded offense is far from MVP standards.

And that's the other thing Tape is overlooking. Cam is NUMBER ONE in the NFL in total touchdowns, and SECOND in passing TDs. And he's doing this with receivers who WOULD NOT MAKE the Steelers roster.

Any contest voted on by man is flawed. It's a popularity contest and Cam is the flavor of month because he's undefeated.

Yeah I wouldn't trade ben for Cam this season, but Cam has a perfect record and stats... he should be the NFL MVP. Brady will probably get the vote though... might be his last time in the limelight... he is 39...

Not sure Ben would get my vote as MVP of Steelers. I think AB might be.
