If he stayed healthy throughout. His body of work (dumb mistakes aside) has been nothing short of incredible. He's doing it against great defenses, just throwing all over the field. He has reached his peak and I honestly believe he is the best player in the league right now.

Cam Newton has it locked up this season.

He won't win it. Cam has it wrapped up already.

I know. That's why I followed it up with "if he stayed healthy" . I know he won't win it but I think he's been the best player

Would have been very interesting if he had. I think they would have still had maybe four losses. Then it would have been the old move the bar trick of if Ben has wins we look at stats and if Ben has stats we look at wins that has always followed him.

Even if he had stayed healthy there is no way he would win the League MVP. He is still hated by the RadFems too much for fighting and beating the false rape charges levied against him. The NFL will never give him that type of recognition for the simple fact that the marketing shitstorm it would set off. Any recognition Ben gets will have to be the kind that isn't open for discussion or vote like the accolades that come from winning championships.

He should have a SB MVP award IMO.. but like you said, he won't win these kind of awards because Rog and Company won't allow it.

You cant argue with what Cam has done though.....hes doing his work minus a couple of weapons in receiving...doing it through the air and with his legs. Perhaps Ben will have a head to head showdown in the big game vs Cam. Im hoping he can prove hes deserving.

Got too banged up to have the numbers so unless Cam loses the next few games and implodes it is his. Next year tho...

Someone will have to explain to me why Cam Newton has the MVP wrapped up. He has a whopping 100 and change more passing yards then Ben who missed four games. And I'm not even pimping Ben for it. He missed four games. But Russell Wilson has more than 10 points more on the passer rating. If this is about winning ok, but what was the Panthers schedule? Their marquees wins were against the Packers at home (and the Packers aren't great) and Seattle on the road who was on a down slide at the time. The rest of their schedule is pure junk wins against one of the worst divisions in the league and their out of conference games that were against the worst. I will be shocked if they win one playoff game. They certainly won't beat Seattle who is peaking and has the formula for January. February Football.

He is undefeated.

He's undefeated and he beat the Seachickens on the road head to head. I don't like the guy but he's won every game. They also beat the Packers.

When healthy Ben Roeth is in his best season and HOF bound.
But he throws too many int's and unlike Newton, has been beaten.
Damnit!

Not mention, he's got a pretty damn good defense to help him out too.

cam is the biggest phony in the league, but this award belongs to him. you deserve the mvp if your team wins every single game that they play and you are the main reason why, i know, i know....they have a great defense, but the panthers wouldn't be **** without $cam.

He has less than 100 yards more passing on about 40 more passing attempts. Ben's completion ratio is over 9% better than Cam's. Ben is throwing to studs. Cam ain't.

Even with being sacked 10 more time than Ben, Camp has thrown 15 more TDs and 2 less Ints for a slightly better passer rating.

Combining all of that with Cam's 580 yards rushing with 7 more TD's rushing and that he is on an undefeated team, I don't know how anyone makes the argument of Ben over Cam.

They are #3 in overall defense but since that doesn't count and only scoring defense matters they are 10th.

I think it was said that Cam is the first player in NFL history to have amassed 3000 passing yards and 500 rushing yards per season, in the first 5 (seasons).

Hes a freak at the position. Hes got the size of Roethlisberger, the athleticism of a younger Vick and the arm of Carson Palmer. Hes complete. Hes that one QB prototype defenses hate to play.....he'll outrun you, or run you over....run thru you or pass it very well. And hes hard to bring down.

Id be surprised if anybody beats Carolina in the NFC. Seattle can do it defensively.....just not sure they have the horses on offense to match up with Carolina defensively.

14-0 is a HUGE reason. Hell, are they even a 4-5 win team if Cam is out? He's the difference and he's also making everyone around him better. I think he deserves it esp w/that WR corp AND the fact they're the highest scoring team in the league.

In terms of most valuable to their respective teams it's 1a. Cam and 1b. Ben and 2. Marsha. None of their teams would be where they are without them. Cam gets the nod because he's undefeated and has played every game while putting up great numbers with a who's who supporting cast of WRs. Unfortunately it's tough to miss more than 1 game and win the mvp. With that said, it'd be an interesting debate if Carolina drops the next game or two and Ben continues his pace. AB would be included in there if he kept up his pace while Ben was out, but it's obvious Ben is a big reason for his success.

I'm not a fan of Cam but when your best WR is Ted Ginn Jr and you're still able to score points through the air, that's impressive.
I know Olsen is his go to target but the WR core is pretty bad.

Aren't the Broncos #1 and the Bengals #2 in overall Defense?
Maybe the football godz will make possible for the Steelers to match up with Cam & Co so the Steelers can beat all the **** out of #3?

Cam doesn't have anywhere near the athleticism of a young Vick. He's more like a bigger version of Steve McNair to me. Vick is one of the most explosive players the league has ever seen. That is what allowed him to actually have a decent level of success, despite his many, many shortcomings.

I'm not making an argument for Ben over Cam. I'm highlighting that his passing yards are middle of the pack. How do you become MVP with middle of the pack passing stats. The combined record of the teams they've beaten is approx. 81- 100. They literally played the Seahawks and Packers and the worst three divisions in football There own, The NFC East and the AFC South. Two of those divisions will have at best 8-8 type division winners. How can you put their record as part of an MVP bid. I ****** hate Brady as much as Cancer and that dudes stats and wins this season dwarf Scam Newton. He has Gronk and basically that is it. They have had as much bad luck as the Steelers.

Who really gives a **** about MVP? Or the Pro Bowl? It's nonsense. A QB on a 14-0 team is going to win the award as long as his stats are "good enough".

What matters is what happens in Jan / early Feb. If Cam really isn't "all that" and he's just feasted on bad teams, then he'll be exposed in the playoffs.
