I believe Ben is the MVP of the league this season..

Newton in all other seasons was an under achiever. Mr Sub-Par.

He's on an undefeated team AND draws attention to himself. The media sucks it up. No difference except their schedule gave them the gift of an easy run.

MVP is he yet the Super Bowl he won't sniff.

Cam Newton is balling out this season. As long as the Steelers hoist #7 I dont care about the regular season accolades

I would argue Ben is nothing without AB.

Ya because Ben was **** with the likes of. Holmes, Wallace, Burress, Ward ect. get a ******* clue, Ben makes every receiver he plays with look all world it's just that AB is head and shoulders above the rest, but make no mistake without Ben AB wouldn't get a 1000 yards or 80 catches.

Don't forget Cedric Wilson as a #3 in his first Superbowl season.

With a healthy Ben I think Brown should have been MVP. As it stands Brown / Ben probably take votes from each other. Its hard to deny Cam the award this year he has been very good and the team is undefeated. I am sure Brady will be considered. He has a chance at 5k yards and has been shorthanded receiver wise. He just needs 300 yards in each of the next 2 games to reach it. Wilson, Carson, and Dalton also had very good years. For a shock Tyrod Taylor has a QB rating of 101.8 in 12 games. As it stands Cam will run away with the award this year in a landslide.

make a list of the qbs newton has beat this year and make a list of the qbs ben has beat this year there lies your answer. ben shouldn't be in talk for mvp

Newton beat 14, Ben beat 9. Newton's receivers are Ginn Jr., Funchess, and Norwood. Ben has Brown, Bryant, and Wheaton. Gotta give the nod to Newton. Having said that, we can beat Carolina.

we should of the hawks but sherman got away with a holding call on brown that lead to a big intc, and then we were inside the 4 with under 3 minutes needing a td to go up and usually aggressive mt goes for the fg, we get 2 solid stops and on 3rd Blake gets toasted in a bizarre coverage scheme, that whole game Baldwin was unstoppable would of made sense S over the top.
we win, that and ben never gets hurt we perhaps beat Baltimore and surely kc, than the mvp vote would be extra tight and we could at this moment have control of the div, After watching last weaks gm, I sure Denver will beat cincy and we then need cincy to lose in wk 17, hopefully some way Baltimore wins next wk and we get the bye

Someone will have to explain to me why Cam Newton has the MVP wrapped up. He has a whopping 100 and change more passing yards then Ben who missed four games. And I'm not even pimping Ben for it. He missed four games. But Russell Wilson has more than 10 points more on the passer rating. If this is about winning ok, but what was the Panthers schedule? Their marquees wins were against the Packers at home (and the Packers aren't great) and Seattle on the road who was on a down slide at the time. The rest of their schedule is pure junk wins against one of the worst divisions in the league and their out of conference games that were against the worst. I will be shocked if they win one playoff game. They certainly won't beat Seattle who is peaking and has the formula for January. February Football.

You're putting a lot more thought and analysis into this than the voters will and you can't use missed games as an argument for several reasons.

I love AB but this team is nothing without Ben.

I think they both go together. Was montana or rice better? I think it is a dumb argument. Of course ABs numbers went down without Ben. Vick seemed to ignore him and could not hit the broad side of a barn. He did better with landry, but if the pass or timing is off Brown can not throw the ball to himself. Look what happened to rodgers when he had no Wrs. Only Brady seems to be able to play with scrubs. I'm sure our offense would manage without brown, but it certainly would not be near as scary.

I've never once said that Ben should be MVP this season. What I will say is this. When Ben has been there for the winning aspect, they made it about stats and gave it to someone else. Last year he was near the top of literally every passing category of meaning and he never even got a look. Newton's yardage is in the middle of the pack and I will always take yardage over TDs thrown. Why? How many times has Ben thrown them down to the 5 and someone runs it in. TD passes are largely meaningless to me so long as the team is scoring. Cam Newton has beaten the Hawks on the last play on a bad day for them, he beat the Packers at home but they aren't among the five or six best teams. The first really good team they play, Sea Hawks, Arizona or possibly even the PAckers will be their last game this season.

Ben could put up 7000 yds and 60 TD's with 0 INT's and Tom Brady would get the MVP while on IR from week 1.

Because of the ACCUSATIONS made years ago, he will NEVER be considerrd. Sad but true.

He never even gets mentioned in the discussion; it's not even worth talking/thinking about.

Well if Ben R. takes care of buisness this year and can do the same next year, without injury, then he will get his first MVP of the season. But who is really going to give a **** as MOST will be louding his four UNCHEATING SB wins................

Salute the nation

One of the worst games I've ever seen Ben play.. he looked confused and unsure of himself all game long.

Did he study any Raven's film all week? He looked like he saw a new defense that was just invented.

Didn't even see Ben looking at film on the sideline to see what open players he missed (there was a ton of them).

ben has turned into a huge choker he got lucky to play a ton of backup qbs and it all on tomlin saying ben being ben and letting him be ben

Well he looked just as good the previous 6 weeks as he looked bad today. Just choked
