So as a college head coach of a former player, I’m going to “advise a professional head coach how to get the most out of their quarterback, not as a Daddy mind you. During my visit and when it’s convenient for my schedule, I might be able to drop a few tidbits on the type of routes the receivers should run and what plays my son, I mean former student athlete likes to run in the red zone. One more thing, he loves positive reinforcement and a commitment to being the starter, it shows trust in him as a man and football player.

Monken needs to thank Deion where would he be without him! 😅🙄

I don't think it's uncommon for college coaches to give input, but not make a spectacle about it. In fairness he did mention Travis Hunter as well. As a coach I think Deion is way over rated. I think he would be ok as a DB coach or something, but he is getting by on name

The daddy shouldn’t ever have to make a case for the son to succeed in the NFL. The player whomever he is, should take it upon himself to take full advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity to play at that level. If that player cannot take that full advantage of the opportunity presented to him and be motivated enough on his own, he doesn’t belong.
Shadeur sounds to me like an entitled kid that daddy has created and I don’t think it translates well to the professional level.
He was nothing special at Colorado and the NFL thought as much therefore he’s drafted in the fifth round.

I’d tell him to pound sand, and if he persisted through the media……….. relegate him to fan access only or ban him.

“We are secure in our developement of your son. Bring Mama by at 10:15 & also at 2:15 so he can succO”…….

GOOD day SIR”

Salute the nation

When the NFL coach reaches out and asks for their input during the drafting process it's common, not sure I've heard of many college coaches reaching out asking for a meeting a year late with a new coach to discuss his former player with the NFL coach. It's obvious Deion is doing what he's always done and trying to sugar coat everything for Shadeur. So glad we don't have this headache to deal with.
He probably wants to talk about getting his sons jersey retired in Cleveland.

A match made in heaven.
