i like the fans that say the reason they do this is so the player knows they really wanted him. it makes him feel good.
duh, isnt the fact that they drafted him let him know?
 
They will just send their card in with the team ahead of them.
 
I’d love for them to trade way up with White still on the board and then spend the entire time allotment in animated, confused, panicked conversation just to watch people here freak the **** out.

They’re usually on the phone with the kid well before the card ever gets turned in.
 
They already know their top 20 picks ranked in order NOW....As guys come off the board it is 'next man up" & they will follow the order UNLESS it is close enough for a specific need.

Smart teams take their time and hear all offers before making the pick. I'll guess the Steelers will take four minutes and thirty seconds before handing the card in for Joe Greene to read.
 
No reason to take your time, when you move up to get the guy you want!
