I wonder if the person that made this observation thinks Troy was even that good? I bet he thinks he was only slightly above averageOn the anniversary of his retirement...some highlights of Troy's time in Black & Gold

Just imagine how much better he would've been if his head was smaller though. Can you imagine?

Keep in mind these are just a sampling of his prowess as he could fill many a many a tapes with highlights.
Another thing, it was sure NICE to hear Myron Cope on the last video.
Salute the nation
Just waiting for that HOF ballot nomination. Should be an automatic inductee when it happens.

better be a first ballot! He could make plays everywhere, in the backfield, at the LOS, vs the run, 30 yards downfield, it didn't matter. He was better than Ed Reed, Reed was primarily a center field, a very good one, but Troy was far more active.
one of his best plays, I didn't watch the above highlights. Was in the 2005 AFCCG, I think it was a screen to our defenses left side to Mike Anderson, he had 2 blockers in front of him and it looked like he had tons of room to run, but Troy some how turned sideways and split the linemen and tackled Anderson for no gain on 3rd down.
Memories.........like the corner of my mind.
AMAZING player. Had better walk right in on 1st attempt to HOF.
My ONLY issue is the Titans game highlights.
Yeah, the timed jump over the pile on Collins was ridiculous, no question.
But to me, that wasn't even his best play of that game.
THIS is the best play of that game by Troy.
This is on Chris Johnson, the man of the insane 4.2 40 time.

( If someone can peg the video as I cannot )
Look where Troy is coming from and how dialed in he is!
THIS made my eyes pop from their sockets and damn near broke my OG TiVo unit.

The closing speed of a lightning bolt. One of the best plays I've ever seen. I remember my boss at the time saying he's never seen anything like that play. Agreed.
