How good can James Conner be?

I spell it out again, just for my fans :)

I was for trading Bell pre-draft if possible. We could have spent his cap amount roughly 14.5 million to upgrade and plug some holes in this swiss cheese defense, full of poorly aware players.

Conner, who makes about 1/16 of what Bell would be making is nearly as good in my opinion. Its not his fault the defense gets gashed early ( Kansas City and Baltimore ) limiting the changes to get an early ground game going. The Offensive line blocking has not been good either.

Can't do that, he's the lone guy capable of playing well at left tackle. Well-- Maybe Gilbert could do it, but it would be a guess.

We COULD NOT TRADE BELL pre-draft. Period the end. Your speculation/calculation of the assumption is, again, ASININE.

Yes, the team sucks all around - but your solution w/ Bell doesn't fix the present problem.

I do not think Villanueva played well last year either. He has seemed to regress

For the same reason we did not blitz last night even though giving Fluke-O 7 seconds to throw the football was obviously not working. Tomlin is DETERMINED to pound a round peg into a square hole regardless of whether it fits or not.
