How about a little love for Jessie James

The James Gang rides again. I liked this kid coming out of PSU and think he has a nice future ahead of him.
 
On the Bryant TD, he had the defender dominated to the point that he was watching Bryant, and when he saw Bryant head towards the sidelines, he pushed the defender towards the middle of the field and into another defender.

Awesome block.
 
I'd say because he's an outstanding blocker and a vet while James is a 21yr old rookie learning how to play the game.

Right, and what has Spaeth done with his playing time? Outside of penalties and dropped passes, nothing. Total waste of roster space.

because having a TE who can block well with two starting O-linemen out isn't important ?

not sure the coaches view him as a wasted roster spot

if you want to get rid of someone lets start with Sham not so wow Thomas..........
 
He adjusted well to the tipped ball early to keep that from being a possible interception. Coming down from his jump he instantly tries to jump again and reels in the tip. Solid day for the rookie.
 
Spaeth has blocked well all season. If James keeps developing spaeth will see his plays reduced
 
It's nice to see a young kid develop like this. I have high hopes he is the #2 next year and probably the starter the year after that.

Spaeth is solid as a blocker. Good to see James showing potential now, though. I liked the pick in April.

Hopefully this kid is another story that proves that you cannot judge a guy by his first preseason or even early games... he looked horrendous in the preseason... absolute garbage... he was performing very well even outside the splash plays yesterday.
