Maybe. Ryan Leaf was fortunate to come before the Twitter Age. Leaf and Manziel are probably pretty similar psychologically.

There were warning signs about Leaf. He came off pretty badly when it came to sitting down and having a pre-draft dinner with the Colts management team (Polian wouldn't have touched him in any round). But teams are always willing to overlook what's starting them in the face for the dream of getting the next Marino, Elway etc.
