Holy Crap! He's officially a bigger bust than Leaf...

Entitled, spoiled kid who pulls this stunt to get himself cut, so he can sign in Dallas where he wants to be.
Another wealthy kid getting exactly what he wants.
What a circus Jerry world will become.

Johnny Manziel apparently went awol AGAIN today.

seriously dude. Seriously.

He should marry a Kardashian, and go directly to reality TV. Waste of talent.

Clowns should try to recover any money paid to him and release his ***. No team would pick his sorry *** up.

I want to see Jerry trade Tony Romo to the Browns.

I say he is doing everything he can to milk his rookie contract and get out of Cleveland without being physically wrecked so he can move on to a better team. Thats what I would do in his place.

Unfortunately (as others have pointed out here,) I think Manziel has never had an interest in being in Cleveland (and who can actually blame him for that) and is purposefully trying to make himself so unpalatable that Cleveland releases him outright. Jerry Jones, who has expressed his admiration for Manziel on multiple occasions, can then pick up Manziel without having to give up anything in trade and bring him to the circus that is the Cowboys. If you told me I could get paid for my job, but go out and party like a rockstar and end up where I want to be, hell, I'd be acting like a moron, too.

Of course, you have to trust that Jones really will bring you in... but I guess getting out of Cleveland is worth any risk.

It will then be interesting to see what happens in Dallas when you have Romo coming back from injury with Jerry's boy Manziel as the backup.

Assuming he has the ability, and someone is willing to take a chance on him, Johnny still has time to turn it around.

Manziel, like Tebow, was overdrafted. The guy is a bonehead, but the Browns front office deserved everything they go for drafting him, especially in the first round.

Especially that pick they they got from us when we moved up to draft Shamarko. That pick was used so they could move up to draft Johnny Speedball. Classic Brownies...

Just watch, Jerry Jones will trade Romo and a first-round pick to the Browns for Johnny Rehab.

You are right that he will go to Dallas, but not with sending Romo off. Jones will sign Johnny, maybe as a free agent, or, with a low round draft pick for trade. Jones loves Johnny. Romo is getting up there and seems like he gets injured for long spans at this point. Johnny could be signed as a back up knowing it won't be long until he gets to play. And Johnny would love the big stage that is Jerry World. It's a perfect fit, as long as he isn't having addiction issues. What's a more happening town? Dallas or Cleveland?

He had a concussion... he couldn't even remember he wasn't supposed to drink tequila and snort coke off of hookers boobs... give the man a break....

It's therapy. Opens up the blood vessels to promote blood flow and healing.

Reactions: wig
I just saw a headline that said he was wearing a disguise when he was out in Vegas. I wonder if anyone will even bother giving this guy another shot. I might start him out at minimum wage.

cocaine&hookers! He's a regular one man wolfpack!

No, he doesn't. He has a serious problem and he doesn't realize the extent of his problem. And THAT's the real issue.

He needed the coaches and his team to slap the **** out of him and instead he was coddled. It's not that he went out and had a few drinks. It's that he just got out of rehab (which is pretty ******* serious folks. It's ******* REHAB.) And then he lied to his coaches and team mates the first opportunity he got and went out and party'd again. And more importantly, he tried to lie about it and hide it. This is classic alcoholic behavior. He slapped his girlfriend around in the car. That's not something normal, sober well-adjusted guys do.

and now allegedly this?

How many glaring red flags do you need before you realize this kid is a giant mess and needs help. Just because he has money and a cool job doesn't mean he's not floundering and completely out of control. I feel sorry for Pettine who was TRYING to get through to the kid and show him that he was ******* up. Not just a little. A whole lot. Instead Pettine gets canned and Johnny hangs with the Captain.

Agree. Most didn't think Jonny party time was going to do ****. Leaf if I recall was the next Joe Montana.

No, Montana was relatively slight of frame, not a big arm. If Leaf was being prepared to any past great it would have been a Marino or Fouts. He was 6-4, big arm. Joe was only about 6-2, 200 lbs.

Johnny Football is a reflection of the organization, which is the Cleveland Browns. It is a joke, from top to bottom.

Not true. Unless he gets in serious trouble Jerry Jones will sign him - just wait and see.

Romo will not be part of any trade; no one would trade for him and Jerry won't want to; he will have Romo as starter and Johnny waiting in the wings for when Tony gets hurt and/or retires. It's not that far away.

I still want to hang out with Manziel. Probably get arrested but it would be fun.

You don't think he's in any sort of conflict with his contract? If not, it's all on the Clowns.

... and who cares if Dallas signs him? Doubt they actually would and if so he'd never see the light of day (on the playing field)

I dunno, the ownership of both teams might be that dumb.

Not even close bro... Leaf was seen by almost every "expert" as being as close to a sure thing in the NFL as you can get. The exact opposite was true of Johnny Football. His size, his style of sandlot football, and his attitude were all talked about as potential red flags. It was basically a coin toss between Manning and Leaf as to who had more potential of becoming a first rate NFL quarterback.

True, the conversation that year is who do you take at #1? Leaf or Manning. Of course they went 1-2 in the draft. One is the GOAT, the other is a scapegoat...
