Hey Holton if you are gonna bring it out of the endzone you should possess this move

That's what made HCMT's post game rant about the kick return game so farcical. He cut this guy to keep Holton and Swizter. How's that working out for you Shades?

I advocated for Spencer. I wanted him over Switz and Eli. Hindsight is 20/20 but we will have to live with what we got. ST coach needs to make it as plain and effective as possible, noA runA itA outA theA endzoneA or you will be cut right on the spot. Don' bother coming to the bench, just walk right on out of the stadium in you souvenir uniform, compliments of the Steelers. Can you hear me Mr. Holton ?

Spencer made some mistakes in preseason but I thought he had enough raw athletic ability and speed for them to give him some time to work on his craft, especially in an area of need. Ryan Switzer, while he seems like a helluva nice guy, is just plain bad. Holton, maybe give him a little more time to see if he can piece something together. But I'd certainly be looking for WRs outside of the building though.

I thought Holton could at least stretch Ds, I missed the boat with that one.

Spencer was a drop machine when playing WR in training camp and then struggled in preseason, that doomed him here.
A better preseason would have locked him to roster spot and a hat on Sunday with the Steelera

You know, I have really liked the grit and effort Switzer always brought to the field and I said some time ago it would take a great deal for me to give up on him. Sadly, I have reached that point where I see him back for a punt and the absolute best I hope for is that he'll just field it cleanly.

As for his receiving game, I can't understand how he's regressed so quickly. He was never a burner, but he was very good at finding a crease 5 to 7 yards downfield on short yardage plays and making a catch knowing he was going to get creamed. Now, he seems to be running 1 and 2 yard routes and getting shut down the moment he touches the ball. I don't know if it's a play-calling or route calling situation, but he's essentially either become or been made absolutely ineffective so far this season.

And that makes me sad, because I do believe he works his *** off.
