The Good

The tour

A walk with a tour guide (broken into 4 groups) shows you the inside of the Steelers locker room, some tribute lockers to some very special Steelers, inside of a suite, and the inside of the tunnel the Steelers come charging out of. A fan also gets looksee inside of the Pittsburgh Panthers locker room. There is a Steelers sideline store at the end, for your Steelers merchandise fix! Not bad for the price of a $8 dollar admission.

The Bad

Some of those smallish suites come with a hefty price-tag. A purchaser has to sign a multi year contract ( I can't remember I am thinking 5 years), ranging all the way up to 150,000 per year. Andddddd it doesn't come with food. You have to cater your own.

The Ugly

To the twatwaffle that stole AB's locker room tag. That is how tours get limited or even canceled.

Actually you have to cater it through the stadium's food service and they charge you $15 per hamburger and $10 a bottle for Bud light.

Ahh gotya. so a even bigger pricetag. As you can't cheapen the cost with a outside vendor. Damn it mane.

And speaking of the suite, here is one pic......... It comes with a fridge. Some counter space and the seating..

Salute the nation

I have a friend who, along with his wife, give tours there. He said that ABs name plate was stolen recently. Film is being viewed and sent to Pittsburgh PD when it is found. He also escorts the handicapped to events there. He recently saw U2 for free. He also gets to escort the handicapped for the Steelers games this year.

Not a bad gig.

My 83 year old mom seats and takes care of handicapped people at ASU games. They love her. She brings them ice water, homemade cookies and candy. but don't tell anyone. People aren't supposed to be that accommodating to the handicapped spectators.

The Stadium tour is a must for every fan. Being inside the locker room and walking the tunnel is just amazing. I so badly wanted to go on the field and just chuck a football around with my kids for 5 minutes.

First job I had in Pittsburgh before I went back to school, was shoveling snow at Heinz field. (labor union)

At break we did some patterns. A few fly's, a slant route, etc.

Well they didn't tell us we weren't allowed on the field. So they asked us to identify who was on the field, and promptly kicked us out of the stadium.

Well **** them I lived and lived well !

I should have bought a football from the pro shop. The guy leading the tour was like 80. Went on the field, throw it around for a couple minutes and leave without incident. Not like you will get arrested. Im not a good rule breaker though.
