Heath Miller to retire

Thanks Heath! Amongst Steeler fans you were a top notch player. The rest of the NFL you were underrated. Silent Assassin would best describe 83 cause he went aboot his business as silent as possible. 3rd fave Steeler :p

Thanks again Heath. Enjoy retirement

This is not a good day. Heath in my mind is one of my all time top ten steelers. I've been a fan since 76 and NEVER admired a player more even though he is not my all time favorite player. I've met him twice and he's first class all the way. I wish him luck in retirement and he will always be missed by me and thousands of other steelers fans.

He is ranked #3 in my book
1: Hines
2: Polamalu
3: Heeeaaath
4: Porter(maybe Lloyd)
5: Bettis

That 2005 bunch holds a special place in my heart. Heaths rookie season. He delivered and some

I was surprised by his stats, just think if he wasn't used all the time blocking, the yards he would have had.

The only feeling I have regarding his decision to retire is one of shock! I never thought he'd retire this season....I thought we'd get one possibly two more years outta him. He was one of the all-time Steeler greats! A CLASS ACT for sure!

Best Wishes in retirement Heath....truly one of a kind!

I'm gonna miss him!

Heath was the ABSOLUTE best at his JOB !!!!!!!!!!! Consumate STEELER / teammate / professional / person. I will chrish his play attitude on and off the field. With all the professional athlets you would NOT want your kids to look up too, HEATH is one that you would WANT to have them look up to. That right there sums him up and he would be proud of that fact. Love yaz man.

Salute the nation

Well damn...

HEEEEEEAATH!

We will miss you and all your effort, leadership and class.

Dwayne Allen too expensive?

Thank you, Mr. Miller for zero drama, bringing your lunch pail everyday, and being an island of reality in an ocean of diarrhea in today's NFL.
I am grateful everyday that there were so many teams ahead of us with faulty scouting reports and/or more pressing needs at other positions.
Your leadership by example on and off the will be sorely missed.

Thanks for the great seasons 83. One of my all time favorites.
One more time......Heeeeath!!

I was hoping by now he would have changed his mind.

I will miss Heath ... and I'm guessing Ben will, too.

I thought he was still ballin' last year.

He contributed. But I could see slippage. He was never a burner but last season he REALLY couldn't get separation. His grabs relied on Ben being pinpoint and Heath's good hands. Still effective, but you could see some decline. I don't blame him for hanging up the cleats.
