Our biggest need, by far, is ILB but that is a steep price to pay to move up 10 spots. We really need 2 ILB's so keep the picks and take 2 of the fastest remaining ILB's somewhere in the top 4 rounds.

I'd only want to move up if someone starts to fall. Someone that has no business being there at that point. Maybe a Nick Boss, Josh Allen etc falls to 10.
Otherwise, I'd rather climb the board in round 2 to get my guy.

As others have pointed out, the Steelers have too many needs to trade away three top-100 picks to move up 10 spots. Right now, they have 4 of the top 83 picks and need those picks to address ILB, CB, TE, WR.
I would definitely consider dealing some of the lower picks to get another top-100 selection, like dealing pick 122, 141 (from the Raiders), and 175 to move up into the end of the 3rd round. The values work out since the Steelers three picks have a value of 106, and the end of the 3rd round has a value of 120. I just don't think that the Steelers are going to add 10 keepers via this draft, and should look to deal a number of picks to get 5 picks in the top 100.
They can then address all their needs with selections in the first 3 rounds, giving much better value and chance of success. Yes, I know, 5th and 6th round picks can include guys like Samuels, AB, Mike Webster, Steve Largent, Kevin Greene, but the simple fact of the matter is that non-contributors outnumber the impact players by about 100 to 1 when you get to the 5th round and later.

I would say that with the infrequency in which we trade up in the draft a move to 10 overall is very unlikely. It's just too much draft equity to part with to move up that far.
I could however envision a scenario where the Rooney's give their ole buddy Teffer down in Carolina a call and see what it would take to move to 16 and get a pre draft deal in place for something like our 1/20, 3/20 and maybe throw in a 5 or 6 next year. If Bush falls to 16 then you pull the trigger. If he does fall to 16 and we don't trade up I fully expect the Ravens to jump just in front of us to nab him at 17/18 or so.

I'm torn, ILB is by far our biggest need and you see what the addition of Darius Leonard did for the Colts. After White and Bush, the athleticism and speed drop off quite a bit. Mack Wilson from Bama ran a 4.7 and 4.65, there's a good chance he's gone when we pick in round 2 just because he's from Alabama. The only other top 5 ranked ILB to run under a 4.6 is Germaine Pratt from NC State, 4.55, 6'2 240. I have not seen him play, hopeful he's there in round 2 because after that there's not much speed.
White and Bush both running in the low 4.4's is insane, would be very tempting to trade up, but if the top ranked CB is there might have to jump on that because that's a need still. Hope I get my ILB in round 2.

Kalhil Hodge from Buffalo could be a mid-round ILB pick but I haven't seen his 40 time yet. He should have been invited to the combine with the ridiculous stats he put up but wasn't.

I think that the Devin's combine showings have made them players that will be gone well before 20. That said, how long does Mack Wilson last? He looks like a solid 3-down backer who plays faster than he times. Will he be there at pick 52?

When I initially thought to move up, that is really what came to mind. Teams constantly trading ahead of the Steelers. And then they are left with the Burns of the world to "hope" they develop.
If Bush is there at 15, I hope they take no chances. Unless for some reason that isn't who they want.

Dalton wasn't extended so maybe Bungles go QB? That could mean Bush slips into at least the mid teens where a trade up is not as costly.
A future hall of fame player with at least three very good years was worth a 3rd and a fifth. Ten spots is worth a first, two secondss and a fourth. Guess what? Some years the 20yh and the tenth are hard to tell a part. So how can you possibly have a chart for that. I think I will pass.

On Madden, as long as you win the SB, you can trade any or all of your picks to whatever team is the absolute worst in the league at trade deadline. They'll trade you straight across their 1st for yours, their 2nd for yours etc. Sometimes you can even package trades to get a couple really crappy teams 1sts.
Then you draft 2 or 3 guys in the top 5 or 6 and sign them to 7 year deals and either trade them or let them leave via FA when their time is up.
So freakin' easy!

If you stick at 20 and package those two picks with our 2nd, that jumps us up into the bottom of the 1st.
Maybe, target OAK's pick at 35. Trade our picks at 52 and 83 should do it. Either of the above scenarios should net us Wilson if we can't get Bush.
Maybe, approach Onwasor. Offer him a $6m ish contract. Assuming he agrees, BAL has to match that or take our 52nd pick.

You are not gonna get starters for all of those this draft. We can make it this draft without taking OLB or CB. This will necessitate an OLB in next year's FA or early draft. A starting quality 3 down ILB is a bigger upgrade to our overall D than those other pieces. 4 picks is a bit much. If you trade a 1st, 3rd and 5th, you are only losing 2 picks.
I would trade up for White. I would not for Bush. I could see Bush being a bust, his tape just doesn’t stick out to me. White is going to be a star, he is the total package at inside LB.

My first thought was that’s the reason we signed Barron he will be our ILB I think they will be targeting at CB or one of the three Iowa players on offense (coach might want to increase his 10% chance on drafting a TE) I enjoy coach I really do I also like giving him **** once in awhile.

I think there is only one inside linebacker worthy of a first round pick and that is White. Bush is too small for my liking. I think there are some fine ILB's we can get in round two or three. We need a tight end, wide receiver, cornerback, and depth at defensive line. I would move up for the top tight end we like or the wide receiver we like but only a few picks up, say to 15. I don't even see a corner worthy of a first round pick. Don't believe in reaching for a need in any draft. I could see one of the D lineman falling to us that would be a top 10 pick in any other draft than this one. D line in my opinion is the deepest position in the draft if you count the edge rushers I would rather pick the best safety, Abram in my opinion, than any cornerback. I think he is going to be a star. I would move up to early in the second to grab him. And I hope we are smart enough to see the value of a very good running back like Miles Sanders in the 3rd if he is still there but I doubt it.

the op already said how much it costs to move up, I'm basing my opinion on that, too much for a 3 down ILB. If you trade a 1st, 3rd and 5th you might get to the 15 pick?, not 10 or 11

Oh, yeah. Definitely cant do the top 10. I figured out that expense last year while i was hoping for Smith.
Up to 15 is reasonable and not too expensive.

No way would I move up for that price. Round 1 picks are potential head cases anyway, I prefer getting a gem in the 6th round who´s modest and just appreciates the chance he´s given. Oh, wait a minute...
