In reality it is somewhere in-between schedule wise.
And it involves who are the Steelers?
Will the real Big Ben please stand up please stand up please stand up.
And the degree of schedule difficulty is which Big Ben shows up.
Is it the bone head decision - force the ball to Antonio Ben. Inaccurate not on the same page with his receivers Ben.
Or is it the spread the ball around and pile up yardage and points Ben.
We have seen plenty of both.
But to get to where the Steelers and fans want the team to go, we need more of the second type of Big Ben. And less of the inconsistent Big Ben.
And sure our D and coaches still need to improve obviously.
But Ben is the type of QB that to a certain degree can win despite some of the other shortcomings mentioned.
He just needs to spread the ball around, and be the Big Ben he is more than capable of being.
With a schematic approach I would like to see more two TE sets. Both Jesse and McDonald can move the chains. And AB and Juju have proven to be reliable.
I also would like to see what JaySam has to offer over Ridley as a change of pace option.
I have seen enough to know if the coaches help strengthen our areas of strength they can win some games.
But have also seen enough to know that aren't consistently smart enough, to make in games adjustments when needed.
Where does that leave the Steelers? Until they show otherwise they are what they have shown.
A .500 team.
