Coach....fact twisting isn’t even part of the conversation, nor was coaching or leadership. It was information access. Or lack thereof. As Ark stated, there was no internet, satellite radio or social media. Therefore national coverage of news was limited. Blount himself said never knew anything about Rocky and Franco testifying during the trial, because he himself wasn’t in Pittsburgh or LA. He was in Louisiana sitting out training camp. He knew nothing because it wasn’t in the national news or his local paper.
The Lambert holdout was nothing big because the players had no leverage. Chuck Noll had nothing to do with not paying the $200k Lambert wanted. Like most everyone else who sat out camp, fans were ticked off at the player until he started playing. As for the media hearing loud and clear about Lambert’s captain status, it was only in the Pittsburgh media it was addressed...it didn’t get any traction in the national media.
This thread should fall in your larger bin of useless ones. Since your narrative is like a broken record. Save your strength for when you ruin the board come combine time.
