.....Great job coaches for preparing and the players for brining the intensity.

Shazier...Defensive player of the Game...easily...
Tuitt.... Great in run support and contributing a sack
Blake...nice rebound...horrible vs Pats but a very good game today....great hitting
Mitchell....nice game ...finally seeing some improvement...still need better communication in help coverage
Heyward...fantastic game...big play sack....

Durpeeeeeeeeee....2 games, 2 sacks...gonna be in the running for RPOY if he keeps this up.
Jarvis.....respectable...........

Nice job men..........nice improvement this week.

They were actually fun to watch this week. Seeing multiple players breaking for a free run at the qb in under 3 seconds is what we have been missing the most. Not covering the te at the top of the screen is not something i don't ever want to see again

Very nice that they didn't suck.

They let the foot of the pedal a little but playing well was:

Shazier - Was Polamalu light all over the field
Tuitt - a sack
Dupree- sack was mentioned but also stopped a fourth down end zone play
Moats -looked good
Timmons quietly had a decent game
Mitchell - had some good hits
Boykin - a good end zone pass defense
and Heyward was solid...

Still some work to do (OBVIOUSLY) but the arrow is pointing up if you will with some above the line play.

We see bright spots.....growth......we will know a little bit more next week in STL.....Hyde scared me with how well he played vs Minny..but we contained him today....Bolden always does well against us. But we contained the run but those 5 sacks today was a nice step towards getting back to what we are used to seeing a decade ago. We still have issues with DBs but that's gonna be the case until we gel with who we got or we trade up and draft a talented corner (and see what the kid from Ole Miss has)

Big improvement ... obviously. Hope Shazier just had a stinger, nothing serious. He showed he can be a game-changer when healthy. Definitely encouraging.

I kept telling everyone I was very optimistic about this defense...all that screw up and only gave up 28 pts to the Pats (who btw destroyed that vaunted Bills defense)

This defense has unbelievable speed....once they get in the groove they will hold their own.

Amazing game today.

Pressure was awesome.

Great effort today. Not going to complain with a win. Just wished they could have stayed aggressive throughout. Could've easily been an *** whooping. Great job though

Maybe the defense ain't as bad as everyone thinks. Buffalo supposedly has the best defense in the NFL, and the Patriots went through them like a hot knife through butter just like they did us. Maybe our defense isn't that bad.... It that Brady & Co. are just that good. Amazing what two little white midget receivers and a practice squad running back are able to do with Brady running the offense. Not to mention 3 of the 5 O linemen are rookies... and late round picks at that. I know Gronk is a stud, but it's still incredible how good they are.

After seeing what the Pats did to the Bills "great" defense, maybe our D isn't as bad as we thought. Maybe the Pats are just that good... on offense anyway. Amazing what he's able to do with 2 white midget receivers and a practice squad running back. I know Gronkowski is a stud, but it's still incredible what that offense is doing with the players they have. Two midgets, a back up running back, and 3 rookie offensive linemen... who were later round picks.... and somehow they are unstoppable. As much as it nauseates me to say this, maybe Brady is the GOAT. I just threw up in my mouth a little.

WOW what a difference. I thought on the first Niner drive this D would fold BUT it MANNED UP! Good job. Especially proud of the D line.

Yeah defense played lights out! I have a really good feeling about this team now after seeing the defense step up! They played physical and dominating, its going to be fun to watch this year.

Imagine if this defense showed up for last Thursday's game.... I would've had a much better week.

The biggest difference was the line. they got pressure and penetration with 4 and 5 rushers consistantly

In a recent interview, Tunch Ilkin said not to fret, that this Dee was starting to gel. Maybe, just maybe, it is.

Heyward was dominate along the line and Tuitt was getting to that point. Would have had two sacks, missed the second by a half second with Moats picking it up instead. Dupree is providing enough in spot duty for being just his second game. It was nice to see some improvement and hopefully that will continue. I'd still like to see Boykin getting some defensive snaps.

They had some serious attitude today. Was really fun to watch. They were downright nasty, coupled with our offense? And Bell coming back????

I don't know about "lights out", but they were much better and very good in the red zone. Hard for me to give them the "lights out" tag considering San Fran did have over 400 yds. on offense. Couldn't get off the field on a couple long drives which was troubling. Definitely looked better than last week.

They looked like a completely different team this week, DB's included. I guess we'll have to take this season one week at a time and hope for the best. One thing I am noticing, they are using a lot more people in rotation this year. This is two weeks in a row now that I have noticed Harrison playing at both OLBer spots. Boykin and Cockrell both got to play, Bell's back next week and even Todman stuck his toe in the water.

The games are a lot more fun to watch when they play like this.

Yep they haven't earned a "d" from me yet, but the Efense is well on its way to respectable if they can keep that up consistantly

I heard the game on the radio, will be watching it tomorrow. Happier for the D than the O, we already knew what they could do though didn't expect such a great game with the doobie brothers out.
I drafted Shazier in a fantasy league, paying up Big time

WOW some great pressure and tackling, fun to watch some big bodies chasing the QB

^This^
I thought Kap would've destroyed us with his legs for sure. Defense cracked down on him. Feel bad for Hyde. Kid looked good last week. I did notice him getting up gingerly against Minnesota. I think the Steelers just had to put him down for good. Good win today fella's
