By: Jonathan Clark SteelerNation.com   On Thursday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signing of former 1st round pick, quarterback Dwayne Haskins. The signing may come as a shock to most fans, seeing as the Steelers usually aren’t so active in the free agency market. Even though it isn’t a monumental signing, and the reason […]

Monumental in demoralizing a team by signing someone with poor character and work effort. Apparently the standard is not the standard . Feels desperate !

Tomlin thinks he can fix guys like this. It didn't work with Michael Vick.

Oh this is the ***** and whine thread. Give me a second I will figure out something..... Man I have to work early as hell and I just want to sleep! All I have right now I will work on it.

Meh I think he is a zero like paxton lynch, but they signed him to a one year 850k deal... honestly the only risk here is that if a better qb option comes available they might not be in the running.... i was afraid tget were going to give the kid a multiyear deal that was harder to walk away from... he is totally cut bait by season’s start unless he really shows something... again its hard to fix mid twentysomethings that are lazy and entitled....

I don’t see the problem here. First round arm talent on a futures contract. If he stinks during camp, no harm no foul. He is nothing other than a camp arm. If he show promise, very least he’s the 3rd string guy.

Haskin is the right color for the Rooney’s and their double standard. Haskins is the epitome of a million dollar arm but 10 cent brain. Jeff George comes to mind.

What about Vick? He came here LATE in his career, we had a bunch of injuries at the QB position, he was brought in mid season... What about this situation is even remotely close?

No one is harder on Tomlin than me. But I don't think Vick was brought in to be fixed or any long term prospects. It was a stop gap at backup QB because they were short on experience. I am very skeptical of Haskins success in Black and gold, but like a UFA CFL player if it's free it's me!!!!

Perhaps we now have someone that can QB sneak. lol.

Did we get a new OC ???

I see the "no risk" factor. I also say kick the tires to which ones are flat.
