I feel very much like this regarding the GOP. Trump got his power from the dissatisfaction with the GOP leadership being a bunch of do-nothings.
I would point out that the lack of Epstein release from Trump was the same with Biden and others. It's an entrenched politician problem. This nation suffers it deeply, and it will be our undoing.
While I am willing to vote for any candidate, I simply can't vote to pay for a mother to murder her baby, for trans being a normal thing, for gays getting more protection than I have, or for many other Dem platform things. If they returned to other things (not the racists stuff like Jim Crow, segregation, etc.) like traditional values and family matters, cool. But they push further into the extreme nonsense that is just wrong. So, they leave me with no ability to vote for them, who would otherwise be willing to at times.
This is actually my biggest problem with US politics - most of us are very closely united in most views. The media and extremisms have divided us, and we seem to like it. Sad.
