Has Bud Dupree hit the rookie wall, or will he break out again?

The arrow is pointing up on 48. He has shown quality football snaps as expected.

I kinda know what coach means. started out strong with 2 sacks in 2 games. But coach if you really watch him, he is doing more things now. 1st few games he rushed the passer. that was pretty much it. Now the coaches are trusting him more and more. He is rushing the passer, dropping back into coverage, etc. They are trusting him to be a complete player. So why his numbers may not show it, he is coming along nicely for a rookie in our system.

I saw that, but just two tackles in two games isn't great

My point with what I had originally stated was that he still had an impact in the game. The kid is still learning but he is making the most of his oportunities, I think Atleast. The steelers depot breakdown of some of his plays vs the chefs was a good piece. When he starts finishing more and more plays, the kid is gonna be a force.

You nailed it. The ability is there, but the consistency is not. With rookies, sometimes they hit the wall. Dupree talents are being wasted if the Steelers are asking him to focus on being a coverage player.. He's much better off attacking the line of scrimmage.
