Cope, Macey's is correct. A long time ago my son and I just kept riding upward on the escalators. I even snuck us by a door we weren't suppose go through and continued up. We got to a escalator that was narrow and ONLY one person type with the hard part moving also but all made of wood covered type belt. So amazing and at the very top was some sort of big wig in office and at first he was put off by us but when I told him where I was from he opened up, a lot. Was really kewl beans.
The bird is a parrot. I was about 150miles south of Veracruz Mexico (deep Mexico, poor as hell area, no touristy) working on a mission trip (church). I was walking around a little village (pop.400) and there in this door way was this parrot. It was a pet of the lady whose house. All awesomely kewl as the people were so poor but would offer you water (they had to buy water to drink) so it showed the kindness of the people. Sorry to say but nothing like here in the states............
Salute the nation
Which is why I have a big problem with people in the states crying poor me poor me. They don't know poor. They can get plenty of handouts in this country. They won't starve. I have been to poor PI villages (Philippines) people killing their pets to survive. Begging for bags of rice. No windows on their house or huts. People in this country are spoiled, and as people you really don't grasp the difference until you see it close up. Which I have. Hell as a kid I could pan-handle on the street. Stop in shelters, etc. Even that experience was small scale compared to what some of these poverty stricken countries have to endure.
